Schrecklicher Fund in #Hernals – #SS-Uniform, Kinderpornos – #Polizei verhaftet #Tierquäler – #KiPo #Katzenbabys

612 march sparks clashes, arrests, and Nazi salute accusations

The nationalist 612 torch march in Helsinki on Independence Day, 6 December 2024. The organisers claim the march is politically neutral, but in previous years it has attracted nationalist and far-right groups. Independence Day demonstrations in Helsinki concluded with police detaining 40 counter-protesters and accusations of extremist symbolism within the 612 torch march. The day featured high tensions between the far-right 612 torch procession and the Helsinki without Nazis (Helsinki ilman natseja) counter-protest. The 612 torch march, which organisers claim to be politically neutral, started from Töölöntori and proceeded to Hietaniemi cemetery. Among its participants were members of the nationalist Soldiers of Odin group and the international far-right network Active Club, identifiable by their attire. Several participants made Nazi salutes during the march, reported journalists on site. Finns Party MP Teemu Keskisarja marched at the front alongside Tuukka Kuru, chairman of the openly fascist Sinimusta Liike. In his speech before the march, Keskisarja stated, “Those who call us Nazis are speaking nonsense,” urging attendees to set aside political divides for the day. Keskisarja’s decision to participate drew criticism, but his party leadership did not impose sanctions. Before the 612 march began, counter-protesters from Helsinki without Nazis gathered to oppose the procession. The police, citing prior notification laws, ordered the counter-protest to relocate to Taivallahden square. Organisers refused, and the demonstration proceeded at Töölöntori. Clashes ensued as police, including riot units and mounted officers, cleared the square. Some counter-protesters resisted, leading to 40 arrests for disobeying orders and obstructing officers. Police reported attempts to seize equipment, while counter-protesters accused officers of excessive force. Some participants were reportedly struck in the throat with elbows, causing fainting.

The majority of Independence Day demonstrators have been released, according to Helsinki Police on Saturday. Those still in custody are suspected of violent resistance against an official. According to the police, these suspects allegedly kicked and hit police and pulled on their equipment. The police are also investigating an incident where a protester attempted to seize an officer’s service weapon. (…) The far-right 612 procession also drew activists from outside of Finland, such as the Swedish branch of the anti-immigrant Soldiers of Odin. Balaclava-wearing Finnish members of the international far-right network Active Club were also spotted among those carrying torches. Individual members of the procession made Nazi salutes at Töölöntori as well as during their procession — an event also attended by Finns Party MP Teemu Keskisarja; Police criticised after clashes with Helsinki without Nazis protesters. A protest organised by Helsinki without Nazis (Helsinki ilman natseja) on Finnish Independence Day ended with 41 arrests and accusations of police misconduct. Authorities denied the claims, stating officers faced violence during attempts to disperse the crowd. The demonstration, held in response to the far-right 612 torch march, highlighted tensions over policing priorities and freedom of assembly. The events unfolded at Töölöntori, Helsinki. The 612 torch march, linked to far-right networks, had reserved the square. In accordance with Finnish law, the police prioritised the group that had submitted its notification first. Helsinki without Nazis, a coalition of anti-fascist groups, gathered at the same location despite police orders to relocate. During the dispersal, police reported that some protesters resisted officers by kicking, hitting, and pulling equipment. Ylikomisario Patrik Karlsson defended police actions, stating, “We asked them to move. When they refused, we had to intervene. Some participants used violence against police.” He added that authorities did not injure protesters, contrary to claims. The organisers of Helsinki without Nazis issued a statement expressing deep disappointment, accusing police of excessive force. The group alleged that officers pushed demonstrators with their elbows, causing two people to faint. They also claimed mounted police rode through the crowd. “This sends a troubling message about the police’s priorities,” the statement read. The organisers characterised their protest as peaceful and accused the police of favouring the far-right marchers.

December 8th Marks 81 Years Since WWII Nazi Massacre at Kalavryta Monastery – #otd #remember

On this day over eight decades ago, a Nazi infantry division retaliated and destroyed the Mega Spilaio Monastery, massacring monks and visitors alike. A few days later, the Massacre of Kalavryta, the worst atrocity committed during World War II in Greece by the occupying Nazis, occurred in the northern part of the Peloponnese. In the morning hours of December 8, 1943, a group of German soldiers known as the 117th Jager Division, crossed the Vouraikos Gorge and headed towards the Mega Spilaio Monastery after having stopped at several villages in the area. At the monastery, they accused the monks of collaborating with British forces and supporting Greek Resistance members. The monks denied the allegations, yet, by noon, the German soldiers had ordered all monks and visitors to gather at the monastery’s yard. They were then led to a location, known as Alonaki, a rock with a flat surface and a 100-meter cliff, less than a mile away. With no survivors and no eye-witnesses, how the Nazis ended up killing the monks and the visitors remains unknown. However, what is known is that the Nazis then set the monastery on fire, destroying the remaining monastic cells that had been left untouched by a 1934 fire. The monastery was rebuilt from the ground up after the war. Courtesy of the Municipal Museum of the Kalavritan Holocaust The Kalavryta Massacre, the worst massacre committed in Greece by the Nazis A day later, on December 9th, the Nazis entered Kalavryta. Many residents had already left the village in fear of retaliation, but the Germans called upon the Kalavrytians to return with the assurance that they would not be hurt. Instead, four days later, the Nazis executed more than 500 innocent civilians and burned the entire village of Kalavryta to the ground. The Massacre of Kalavryta, also known as the Holocaust of Kalavryta, was also carried out by the German army’s 117th Jager Division. The extermination of the male population of Kalavryta was in retaliation for the execution of 68 German soldiers who had been captured by the Greek resistance.

The Massacre of Kalavryta, also known as the Holocaust of Kalavryta, was carried out by the German Army’s 117th Jäger Division. The extermination of the male population of Kalavryta was in retaliation for the execution of sixty-eight German soldiers who had been captured by the Greek Resistance. “Operation Kalavryta,” or “Unternehmen Kalavryta,” was a typical German act of retaliation in areas where there was heavy guerrilla activity. It was directed against the civilian population of the region and was one of the most barbarous carried out by the Wehrmacht—not only in Greece but in all of Europe. The horrifying Nazi massacre in Kalavryta, Greece The Kalavryta and Aegialian regions had developed strong resistance forces from the beginning of 1943. The German army began to worry about the growing revolutionary activities and wanted to destroy them with an operation that included bombing, burning, and executions. The order to carry out this operation was given after the killing of Hauptmann Hans Schober by resistance forces at the Battle of Kerpini on October 17, 1943, when eighty-six German soldiers were captured. The Nazi troops initiated the attack from the three Greek cities of Tripoli, Aegio, and Patras, and finally ended in Kalavryta. En route, they burned, pillaged, and destroyed everything in their way.

#ATOMWAFFEN’S PROPAGANDIST SECRETLY PRODUCED VFX FOR #ACTIVECLUB DOCUMENTARY – #awd #terror

Patrick Macdonald, once known as Dark Foreigner, continued creating art for neo-Nazi movements after the Atomwaffen Division disbanded. It was so quick that anyone could have been forgiven for missing it.  In the final moments of court on Monday, Crown Prosecutor Katherine Legault read from the defendant Patrick Macdonald’s cover letters to two prospective employers. In one, the accused propagandist for the terror designated Atomwaffen Division addressed the letter to the white nationalist livestream Red Ice. He wrote that his graphic design work was “cutting edge” and that he could handle animating and creating graphics for the frequent programs.  The second letter, to an unidentified individual, was much of the same, until Legault reached the end, reading out a social media account that Macdonald attached to the letter: Raven Atelier.  In a few words, the Crown confirmed that Dark Foreigner continued his artistic pursuits after the Atomwaffen Division, leaving behind the low-res, blood-splattered portraits of serial killers and Nazi Germany figureheads for 3D sculpting and an attempt at monetizing his abilities producing propaganda for far-right nationalist movements.  Raven Atelier is a small social media art channel run by a man who used the online pseudonym Vransith on the encrypted application Telegram. The channel frequently posted content and new designs since its creation on April 18, 2021.  Self-dubbed as a “Nationalist Design Studio,” the first content was posted in May 2021, with a message credited to Vransith, as does all the content created by Raven Atelier. (…) Some of the early artwork was reposted by the NSBM record label Militant Zone, based out of Kyiv, Ukraine. Small by conventional standards, Militant Zone hosts some of the most infamous names in neo-Nazi metal music, including groups like М8Л8ТХ, Sunwheel, and Whrwlf.  On his channel, Vransith claimed to have created the artwork for the video release of the Militant Zone concert video and helped with editing. The Canadian Anti-Hate Network contacted Militant Zone for confirmation, though the end of the concert footage credits Raven Atelier for video editing. (…) Prosecutors brought out several RCMP and Ontario Provincial Police experts and officers who found digital metadata and items in Macdonald’s residence they say link him to three propaganda videos produced for the Atomwaffen Division. (…) Atomwaffen was listed as a terrorist entity by the Government of Canada in 2021, but the charges relate to videos produced in 2019. As a result, the Crown must also prove that the organization was a terrorist entity at the time of the videos’ production and release. (…) Two other alleged former members of the Atomwaffen Division, Kristoffer Nippak and Matthew Althorpe are awaiting trial on terrorism charges of their own. According to the RCMP, Althorpe and Nippak from Ontario are alleged to have participated in the creation of videos for the Atomwaffen Division (AWD).  Nippak is facing additional charges related to the creation of a series of manifestos and terrorism manuals for the Terrorgram Collective.
