Hundreds including children attend Neo-Nazi festival in Italy

Participants at the Neo-Nazi two-day festival that took place in Verona, Italy on July 9,10 The city of Verona, famously known as the home for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, was host to a two-day Neo-Nazi festival on July 9, 10. The festival, organised by Italian identitarians and Hammerskins, was attended by hundreds of right-winged extremists including women and children. Events such as football, music concerts, and several workshops were conducted. The event was highlighted by investigative journalist Fabian Eberhard who posted pictures of the event on his official Twitter page. He wrote, “The event is highly problematic: It serves as an international networking opportunity for the scene. And an even bigger festival is planned in Verona for September.” The world knows Verona as the city of love. But according to Eberhard, organisations like CasaPound, Fortezza Europa, Forza Nuova, or Veneto Fronte Skinheads make the city a center of right-wing extremism. “And the authorities often just watch the events without intervening,” he tweeted.

AN 18-year-old who had videos “promoting white supremacy” has been convicted of terrorism offences and is due to be sentenced next month. Officers from Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) have charged Oliver Riley, of The Meadows, Watlington, in connection with Extreme Right Wing Terrorism ideology. He had uploaded a number of videos online of a neo-Nazi racist nature which breached UK Terrorism Act legislation.  Riley pleaded guilty at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday (11) after being arrested on October 12 last year in Gloucestershire. He has been convicted of three counts of possession of a document or record containing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism and of sending a message that was “grossly offensive”. Riley was also convicted of providing a service to others that enables them to obtain, read, listen to or look at such a publication and intended, or was reckless, as to whether an effect of his conduct would be a direct or indirect encouragement, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.

The Highland Park Shooter Wanted Attention on His Disturbing Online Footprint

The Highland Park suspect existed in some of the darkest corners of the internet, including a secretive gore site VICE News got access to. But experts say to exercise caution before attaching any ideology to him. The young man who has confessed to killing seven people at a Fourth of July parade in a Chicago suburb on Monday was “an extremely online creature” and crafted a confounding digital footprint that experts say he wanted everyone to analyze.    Besides his YouTube videos, social media profiles, and Spotify playlists, Robert E. Crimo III hung out in some of the darkest corners of the internet, areas where graphic violence and mass shooters, in particular, are romanticized. He left behind cryptic clues that researchers, journalists, and the general public have been poring over in recent days—and experts say that’s exactly what the suspect wanted. “The intention for this attack is exactly what is happening now, which is that people are going through all his digital history,” Emmi Conley, an extremism researcher at Logically, a tech company that pairs AI research with experts, told VICE News. “They’re trying to unravel some kind of puzzle. They’re trying to get into the (alleged) killer’s mind and figure out what he does, because those kinds of answers would be deeply satisfying for us. But what he laid was a breadcrumb trail; he left behind a trap for people to go digging.” Like the alleged perpetrators in the recent Buffalo and Uvalde mass shootings, the man accused of killing seven people during the Fourth of July parade on Monday is a young male. Unlike the Buffalo shooter, the Highland Park shooter didn’t leave behind a screed that he wanted people to read and explain his actions. But the shooter did leave behind a massive digital footprint. An extensive review of his online activity by VICE News, including a look inside the disturbing gore forum where he posted 3,546 times since he joined in June 2020, and interviews with extremist researchers and friends of the suspect, reveals that his online activity cannot be narrowly categorized. “He embodies sort of the pop-culture image of a mass shooter,” Conley said. “For decades, especially since Columbine, the media has been talking about the idea of a dangerous level of mentally ill, confused, schizophrenic young man who doesn’t really have any intentions—, he’s just crazy, right? And this is a shooter that said, ‘OK’ and embodied that. Everything about him is confusing on purpose.”

«Kontrafunk» heisst ein neuer Radiosender für AfD-Anhänger und Corona-Skeptikerinnen. Seine Adresse führt zu leeren Räumen in Cham ZG – und zu Firmen von Satiriker Andreas Thiel. Deutschland hat ein neues Webradio. Seit dem 21. Juni, Punkt sechs Uhr, sendet «Kontrafunk» – ein Sprachrohr für Impfskeptikerinnen, Massnahmen-Gegner und AfD-Anhänger. Laut den Machern will der neue Sender ein Gegenprogramm zum «milliardenteuren Verlautbarungsapparat der Regierungssender» bieten, aber auch zur «bodenlos falschen Nachrichtengebung im Zusammenhang mit der ‹sogenannten› Corona-Virus-Pandemie». Das Radio war gerade 30 Stunden online, als es prominente Unterstützung aus der rechtsextremen Ecke erfuhr. Björn Höcke, Einpeitscher der Partei Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), schrieb auf Twitter: «Wer eine journalistisch hochwertige Alternative zum öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunk sucht, hat nun eine echte Alternative: Seit gestern sendet Kontrafunk ein 24-Stunden-Programm.» Startkapital von 1,2 Millionen Euro? Doch wer steckt hinter dem neuen Radio, das gemäss eigenen Angaben über ein Startkapital von 1,2 Millionen Euro verfügt? Der Firmensitz von Kontrafunk befindet sich in einem heruntergekommenen Bürogebäude in Cham ZG. An der gleichen Adresse sind gemäss Handelsregister 50 weitere Unternehmen eingetragen. Nur: Dort ist niemand. Ein langer Gang, leer stehende Zimmer, die Türen durchnummeriert: 2.007, 2.008, 2.009. Das Einzige, was in Cham auf den neuen Radiosender hindeutet, ist ein grüner Aufkleber an einem Briefkasten vor dem Gebäude. Auf dem gleichen Briefkasten prangen die Namen von drei weiteren Firmen: Hummelflug AG, Serafin Film AG und Gretchen AG. Die drei Unternehmen haben zwei Gemeinsamkeiten: Sie sind in der Filmbranche tätig – und sie gehören Andreas Thiel. (…) Als offizieller Gründer und Inhaber von Kontrafunk fungiert Burkhard Müller-Ullrich. Der deutsche Journalist war langjähriger Moderator des Deutschlandfunks und Talkshow-Host bei SWR2, zudem schrieb er für seriöse Zeitungen. In seinem Twitter-Profil beschreibt er sich als Dieselfahrer, Waffenbesitzer und Vielflieger. Sein Motto: «Die Medien sind unser Unglück.» Eine Anlehnung an den bekannten Satz «Die Juden sind unser Unglück» aus der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus? Klar ist: Müller-Ullrich ist schon vor Jahren scharf rechts abgebogen. 2017 trat er der AfD bei, in der Corona-Pandemie radikalisierte er sich weiter. Im letzten Jahr warf er seinen Journalisten-Kollegen öffentlich «Dummheit und Charakterlosigkeit» vor, Deutschlandfunk und SWR2 beendeten die Zusammenarbeit mit ihm.

Auf einer Corona-Kundgebung soll der AfD-Abgeordnete Petr Bystron möglicherweise den Hitlergruß gezeigt haben. Seit Monaten ermittelt die Staatsanwaltschaft München gegen den Bundestagsabgeordneten. Am Donnerstag hat der Bundestag Bystrons Immunität aufgehoben. Der reagierte am Freitag empört. Der Bundestag hat die Immunität des AfD-Abgeordneten Petr Bystron aufgehoben. Die Staatsanwaltschaft München I ermittelt gegen Bystron wegen des Verwendens von Kennzeichen verfassungswidriger Organisationen. Der AfD-Politiker reckte laut Staatsanwaltschaft während einer Corona-Kundgebung mit dem Motto „Gesund ohne Zwang“ „bewusst seinen rechten ausgestreckten Arm in Richtung der Teilnehmer der Kundgebung“. In einem auf Youtube veröffentlichten Video ist zu sehen, wie Bystron am Ende einer Rede gegen die Corona-Politik der Bundesregierung seinen rechten Arm hebt. Im gleichen Moment sagt Bystron: „Wir sind die wahren Freunde der Demokratie. Wir sind die AfD.“ Im Hintergrund ist Applaus und Jubel zu hören. Für die Staatsanwaltschaft München könnte es sich bei Bystrons Geste um einen verbotenen Hitlergruß handeln, so eine Sprecherin gegenüber dem Redaktions­Netzwerk Deutschland (RND).

Over the past five years, the ideology became intertwined with neo-fascist terrorist groups like the Atomwaffen Division, National Action, and the Base. O9A’s followers stand accused of murder, pedophilia, rape, terrorism, and other crimes in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Russia, and elsewhere. The Federal Bureau of Investigation also indirectly helped accelerate the spread of O9A by employing Joshua Caleb Sutter, the head of the Tempel ov Blood nexion and prolific publisher of O9A-related books through his Martinet Press imprint, as a paid informant for almost 20 years.

„#KategorieC“ will wieder aktiv werden – #rechtsrocktnicht

Einst hatte sich die rechtsextreme Hooligan-Band „Kategorie C“ aufgelöst, der Sänger war musikalisch seitdem im Querdenken-Umfeld aktiv, nahm gar ein Lied mit Xavier Naidoo auf. Bald soll nun ein neues Album veröffentlicht werden. Ursprünglich hatte Kategorie C (KC) 2019 auf dem „Schild & Schwert“-Festival in Ostritz ihr Abschiedskonzert gespielt. Aktiv blieben Musiker der Band gleichwohl noch mit Auftritten bei „Balladen“-Abenden. Sänger Hannes Ostendorf veröffentlichte unter dem Namen „Hannes“ weiter Songs und kooperierte mit anderen Musikern der Rechtsrock- und „Querdenken“-Szene sowie mit Xavier Naidoo. (…) Rücktritt vom Rücktritt Eines der letzten Band-Projekte, das Ostendorf unterstützte, nennt sich „Tragik der Zeit“. Musikalisch aktiv sind dabei die langjährige Neonazi-Aktivistin Melanie Dittmer und ein Marcel aus Sachsen. „Tragik der Zeit“ veröffentlichten kürzlich eine Mini-CD. Gleichwohl hatte Ostendorf schon im April 2021 mitgeteilt, auch KC seien wieder aktiv geworden und könnten die Fans in diesen schweren Zeiten nicht alleine lassen. Nun haben KC via Telegram-Kanal offiziell mitgeteilt, dass die Band neue Lieder eingespielt habe. Die CD zur „Re-Union“ werde aktuell abgemischt und gemastert, eine Veröffentlichung solle erfolgen sobald möglich, hieß es in der Mitteilung.
