A recent cross-border meet-up of multiple chapters of a white-only neo-Nazi workout club took place in Southern Ontario, bringing together fascists from across Ontario, Quebec, and the United States. Pictures from the event show 22 men posing on a property in Goderich, Ontario. According to posts on social media, the men represent several organizations, all openly fascist, racist, and neo-Nazi—including a member of a cult that believes white people are the pinnacle of human physical and spiritual evolution. Nationalist-13, a group of neo-Nazis largely located in Hamilton, Ontario and made up partially of members once belonging to the Steel City Proud Boys, appear to have organized the meetup. In attendance were the Toronto Fitness Club, the Frontenac Active Club, based out of Quebec, and two United States groups: the Great Lakes Active Club and the Wisconsin Active Club. In images woefully typical to any meeting of these groups, men in athletic gear and large gloves trade blows in a public park. The few pictures attributed to the recent meet-up took place near the Goderich Collegiate Institute, a high school that sits about an hour and a half north of London, Ontario, and surrounding parks. Other images posted to Nationalist-13 social media came with a message to “our brother who hosted our first ever multiday event on his property.” Adding that the owner had “never been to one of our community gatherings” and “only knew a few of us” the owner offered words of encouragement to his brothers.

Following the attack, neo-Nazi movements in Türkiye came under scrutiny. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the incident in Eskisehir, emphasizing that any attack on Türkiye’s cultural and religious values is unacceptable. He pledged to protect the youth from dangerous foreign ideologies, stating, “We will not tolerate vulgar racism.” A group calling itself the “National Front” was discovered, raising concerns that this organization, which praises Nazis on Telegram, uses Nazi symbols in its flags, and identifies as racist, could inspire similar mass attacks. The “National Front” group, composed mainly of young members, conducts propaganda through social media platforms and also engages in various real-world actions. Glorifies Nazi ideology: Through posts on Telegram, they praise Nazi leaders and movements. Displays Nazi symbols: Their flags bear Nazi insignia, including the “Black Sun,” and they perform Nazi salutes. Arda K., who carried out the Eskisehir attack, wore a helmet featuring the Nazi symbol “Black Sun” and had his face masked during the incident. Identifies as racist: They openly define themselves as racist and advocate violence against minorities. The National Front operates under the guise of the National Front Party (NFP), an unofficial organization that identifies as national socialist but adheres to neo-Nazi principles. Their leadership includes: Onurcan Kocak who describes himself as the so-called chief of the National Front Party claims that the group’s true leader is a former military officer, though some speculate that Kocak himself may be the real leader, using the officer as a decoy. Kocak’s assertions about the group’s “national socialist” beliefs and the secrecy surrounding its leadership structure raise serious concerns about the potential involvement of former military personnel in extremist movements.

In der Zeit dazwischen hat der Mann maßgeblich bei einer Kampagne mitgemischt, die der AfD auch bei den kommenden Landtagswahlen in Sachsen, Thüringen und Brandenburg zu Wahlsiegen verhelfen soll. Hinter dem Alias Shlomo Finkelstein steht Aron P. Er ist Teil des selbsternannten Angerverse, dem „Wutuniversum“. Das ist eine rechte Gruppierung, die zwar nicht offiziell zur AfD gehört, sich aber sehr viel Mühe gibt, damit die Partei gewählt wird. Am 13. August 2024, noch während diese Recherche lief, wurde Aron P. in der Nähe von Berlin festgenommen. Er war vor dreieinhalb Jahren unter anderem wegen Volksverhetzung und des Verwendens von Kennzeichen verfassungswidriger Organisationen zu einem Jahr Haft auf Bewährung verurteilt worden. Da er gegen Auflagen verstieß, wurde die Bewährung widerrufen – und die Staatsanwaltschaft suchte nach ihm. CORRECTIV beobachtet Aron P. auch schon länger: Er fällt immer wieder mit Desinformation und Hetze auf. Neue Recherchen zeigen, wie eng der verurteilte Straftäter mit der AfD verbunden ist. Er war im inoffiziellen Wahlkampf zur Europawahl ein zentraler Player in der sogenannten Tiktok-Guerilla. Das ist eine Initiative, die auf die Junge Alternative, die Jugendorganisation der AfD, zurückgeht – und die Aron P. und Kollegen aus dem „Angerverse“ während der EU-Wahl vorantrieben. Ihr Ziel: Es auf Tiktok so aussehen zu lassen, als hätte die Partei eine Armee an Fans hinter sich. Das macht die Guerilla-Gruppe, indem sie versucht, Videoinhalte mit AfD-Politikern viral gehen zu lassen. Auch mit zweifelhaften Mitteln. Und auch jetzt, vor den Landtagswahlen.

Jeff Tischauser A member of the white nationalist hate group Patriot Front who appears to operate a social media account that disclosed personal information about perceived political enemies – including journalists, left-leaning activists, politicians and community members – is an active-duty soldier in the U.S. Army, a Hatewatch investigation has revealed. Kai Liam Nix, 20, of West End, North Carolina, also known as Patrick NC inside Patriot Front, is stationed at Fort Liberty, North Carolina, with the 82nd Airborne Division. His enlistment and active-duty status were confirmed by an Army public affairs officer. As an enlisted soldier, Nix has access to weapons and tactical training that make his involvement with Patriot Front – a group that targets communities with racist propaganda and hate rallies – particularly concerning. Hatewatch contacted the U.S. Army about its investigation, but an Army public affairs officer declined to comment, citing Army policy. In addition to participating in racist activism for Patriot Front, Nix appears to be the operator of a Telegram channel that worked in conjunction with white power groups in the South to release sensitive personal information about perceived political enemies including their names, photos, phone numbers and addresses. Their targets included nine journalists, a business owner who spoke up about how antisemitism affected their community, activists in left-leaning groups, lawyers and cybersecurity analysts. The Telegram channel, originally called Appalachian Archives but later rebranded as American Archives, also targeted members of other far-right groups that were deemed insufficiently loyal to the white power movement. This practice – distributing someone’s personal information online for the sole purpose of intimidation or harassment – is called doxing. (…) At the time, Nix was going into his last year in high school, while Jones, of Charlotte, was 23 and a former Army recruit who had organized with The Base, the Proud Boys and Patriot Front. In 2017, Jones had to leave basic training to attend his criminal trial for a sexual offense charge involving sex with two 14-year-olds when he was 18. Jones pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of crimes against nature and received probation, according to court documents Hatewatch obtained.

Einigen Influencern auf Youtube erscheint die Welt trist, und sie arbeiten eifrig daran, ihre Zuschauer davon zu überzeugen, dass dem tatsächlich so sei. Da ist zum Beispiel Leonard Jäger. Er ist bekannt als „Ketzer der Neuzeit“ und verbreitet unter seinen rund 425.000 Abonnenten Queerfeindlichkeit und Verschwörungsmythen. Jäger ist der Meinung, dass uns die Demokratie nur „vorgegaukelt“ werde. Das macht ihn auch bei Rechtsextremen beliebt – und bei Unternehmern wie dem neurechten Aktivisten Erik Ahrens. Ahrens wirbt mit seinem Hörbuchprojekt „Blitzwissen“ in Jägers Videos. Andere Produkte, die dort beworben werden: Stifte aus Dresden oder Backzubehör über Amazon. Zu Ahrens schreibt uns ein Mitarbeiter des „Ketzers der Neuzeit“ Jäger auf die Frage nach der politischen Ausrichtung der Werbung, man habe „aus persönlichen Gründen jegliche zukünftige Zusammenarbeit eingestellt.“ Weitere Fragen wolle er nicht beantworten. Wie Recherchen von CORRECTIV gemeinsam mit dem Y-Kollektiv zeigen, werden mindestens 17 rechte Influencer auf Youtube von Werbung finanziert – unter anderem durch mindestens ein Unternehmen, das von einem AfD-Funktionär geleitet werden. (…) Zum einen werden Unternehmen verlinkt, die nicht explizit als politisch bezeichnet werden können, jedoch im rechten Spektrum werben. Beispiele sind die Stifteverkäufer Hörner aus Dresden, ein Weinversand aus Mülheim an der Ruhr oder ein Kuchenbackformhändler aus Böblingen. Der Betreiber der Böblinger Silikon-Backform und AfD-Kreisrat Maximilian Evers bestätigt Correctiv seine Werbeplatzierung. Der Weinhändler Dominic Viertmann bestätigt ebenfalls die Werbung seiner Wein-Firma bei Influencern, will sich jedoch nicht dazu äußern, ob er Mitglied der AfD sei. Allerdings trägt der Schriftführer der Jungen Alternative NRW auf der Webseite der Jungen Alternative NRW den Namen. Und auf der Mülheimer AfD-Webseite erscheint ein stellvertretender Kreisvorstand mit dem gleichen Namen von Dominic Viertmann. Der Geschäftsführer des Stifteverkäufer Hörner schreibt CORRECTIV, dass ihm die genannten YouTuber und Kanäle persönlich nicht direkt bekannt seien und stellt sich als international tätige Firma dar, die mit vielen anderen Partnern arbeite. Seine Firma werbe zielgruppenorientiert und suche sich die Werbeflächen entsprechend aus. Tatsächlich bietet Hörner ein Werbeprogramm an, mit dem theoretisch jeder mit Rabattcode werben kann, ohne Kontakt zu ihm aufnehmen zu müssen. Andererseits berichtet ein Youtuber aus der Szene im Podcast des rechtsextremen Vordenkers Götz Kubitschek, die Firma Hörner habe „angefangen, Werbung bei Leuten wie uns zu schalten.“ Auch bei dem Treffen der Rechtsextremen im November 2023 in Potsdam wurde Hörner als potenzieller Werber vorgestellt. Die anderen Werbepartner der YouTuber haben ideologisch explizitere Inhalte: Etwa „Blitzwissen“, das „Freilich Magazin“ oder die „Krautzone“. Die Verantwortlichen des Freilich Magazin antworten, dass sie sich nicht zu Geschäftsbeziehungen mit externen Partnern äußern. Die Absenderin der Mail raunt allerdings kurz später in einem Online-Bericht, aufgrund der Anfragen durch CORRECTIV, von einer „neuen Anti-AfD Kampagne“.
