Katholisches Kolpingwerk Bensheim Empörung über Auftritt von Verschwörungsideologe

Der Verschwörungsideologe Ken Jebsen hielt am Mittwoch einen Vortrag in Bensheim. Aus Gründen der Meinungsfreiheit ließ der Vorstand den Vortrag zu. Nun droht neuer Ärger. Der Verschwörungsideologe Ken Jebsen ist trotz Protesten am Mittwoch beim Katholischen Kolpingwerk in Bensheim aufgetreten. Jebsen, der seinen Künstlernamen abgelegt hat und wieder seinen bürgerlichen Namen Kayvan Soufi-Siavash nutzt, tourt mit einem Vortrag durch die Bundesrepublik, in dem er über “Propaganda” und “Erpressung” aufklären will. Am Mittwoch machte er einen Halt in Bensheim (Bergstraße). Soufi-Siavash Vortrag fand in den Räumen des Katholischen Kolpingwerks statt. Schon im Vorfeld gab es Kritik. Der Vorstand des Bensheimer Kolpingwerks, Josef Rösch, teilte dem HR am Dienstag mit, er sei für die Meinungsfreiheit und wolle niemanden “zensieren”, solange es keine Saalschlachten gebe oder Waffen eingesetzt werden. (…) Rösch hätte die Vermietung im Alleingang übernommen, erklärte Vorstandsmitglied Ruth Hille am Mittwochabend in der “hessenschau”. Die übrigen Vorstandsmitglieder hätten erst aus der Presse davon erfahren. Hille ist noch am Abend von ihren Ämtern zurückgetreten. Für sie gebe es Grenzen, wenn es um Demokratie und Meinungsfreiheit gehe. Sie sei deshalb von ihren Ämtern zurückgetreten, so Hille. “Für mich hat es Grenzen, wenn es um Meinungsfreiheit und Demokratie geht. In unseren Räumlichkeiten ist nicht alles möglich, ich stehe da nicht hinter der Meinung unseres Vorsitzenden.” Diözesanvorstand: “Antisemit und Corona-Leugner” Kritik an der Vermietung der Räume durch die Bensheimer Kolpingsfamilie kam auch aus den eigenen Reihen. “Mit Erschrecken haben wir über den Auftritt eines Verschwörungsideologen im Kolpinghaus Bensheim erfahren. Wir als Diözesanvorstand und in meiner Person als Vorsitzenden des Kolpingwerks Diözesanverband Mainz lehnen diese Vermietung an einen deutschlandweit bekannten Antisemiten und Corona-Leugner vehement ab”, sagte Diözesanvorsitzender Thomas Isser in einer Stellungnahme. Weiter heißt es: Adolph Kolping habe immer und zu jeder Zeit – wie auch der gesamte Sozialverband heute noch – für einen respektvollen und weltoffenen Umgang miteinander gestanden. Weder Religion, Herkunft, sexuelle Orientierung noch Nationalität “spielen bei uns eine Rolle”.

Am Dienstag hatte Rösch noch auf die Frage, ob zur Meinungsfreiheit auch antisemitische Verschwörungstheorien zähle, geantwortet, Antisemitismus gebe es schon seit 200 Jahren, und wenn jemand etwas dagegen habe, könne er am Mittwoch zur Veranstaltung kommen und etwas dagegen sagen.

Neo-Nazis in court on “race war” #terror charges

Three Finnish men are suspected of preparing to commit acts of terror. Prosecutors have charged four Finnish men linked to far-right groups with offences linked to terrorist intent. The offences include aggravated firearms charges and training to commit a terrorist act. The suspected crimes took place in Lahti as well as in other locations. The case includes charges related to narcotics and firearms, which are also suspected to have been committed with terrorist intent. Three of the suspects are charged with crimes related to terror. Those include production of firearms and training in their use. Based on the suspects’ racist beliefs, prosecutors believe they were preparing for an armed conflict between different groups in society, or a so-called “race war”, in which people would be killed and society’s structures destabilised by acts of terror. According to investigating officers, the accused are neo-Nazis using accelerationist tactics aimed at ending democratic society through acts of violence. Image: Poliisi Police have previously said that the suspects produced semi-automatic weapons based on the FGC-9 pistol calibre carbine using a 3D printer. The investigation saw police confiscate four 3D-printed weapons, a large number of 3D printed weapon parts, and 1,500 rounds of ammunition that can be used in the weapons they had prepared. Police also seized a rifle, a home-made pencil gun, a gas pistol modified to shoot live rounds and several 3D printers. They also discovered three cannabis farms when searching properties used by the defendants. Police said that the group had prepared to commit violent acts, choosing victims based on skin colour or ideological views. In addition, the group is suspected of planning attacks on infrastructure targets such as the electricity grid and the rail network. A man born in 1994 organised a demonstration in 2022 at Helsinki’s Oodi library, in which extremists tried to disrupt a drag queen story time event. A man born in 1996 has been convicted of drunk driving and narcotics crimes. His ideological outlook is far-right but he has not been named in publicity or news stories. A man born in 2001 is an Oulu neo-Nazi, according to Yle’s sources. The man was charged with incitement to hatred against a demographic group after he stole and burned a pride flag in 2021. The suspect born in 1957 is a well-known opinion leader in radical far-right and neo-Nazi circles. The man was charged in 2020 over collecting and distributing the home addresses of then-Interior Minister Maria Ohisalo (Green) and State Prosecutor Raija Toiviainen.

Saunas and Swastikas: Finland’s Summertime neo-Nazi Meet-Up

In June 2023, a group of Finland’s most notorious neo-Nazis and a few of their international friends ventured to a lakeside cabin resort set against picturesque woodlands some 120 kilometres north of Helsinki. They called the gathering ‘White Boy Summer Fest’ after an internet meme co-opted by far-right extremists.  Bellingcat first investigated the phenomenon in 2021. Run by a far-right cultural collective and combat sports group, the event was first held last year, and organisers have indicated plans to make White Boy Summer Fest (WBS) an annual affair. Over two days, attendees watched far-right bands perform, participated in combat sports, and mingled with other hate group members in hot tubs. Observers warn that neo-Nazi networks — including international ones like the Hammerskins, whose members attended WBS — use events like these to network, radicalise each other, recruit new members and raise money.  Organisers have successfully kept the locations of the 2022 and 2023 WBS events hidden from the public — until now. Thanks to Bellingcat’s Global Authentication Project (GAP) and burgeoning Discord community, we geolocated both events to rural accommodations belonging to Evo Nature Ltd, a hospitality company in southern Finland. According to its website, Evo has properties in 15 locations between Helsinki and Tampere and received approximately 30,000 customers in 2019. (…) The 2023 edition of WBS kicked off the evening of Friday, June 16. As photos posted by organisers on social media make clear, the spectacle was anything but subtle. Four Finnish neo-Nazi bands performed sets on a stage in a log cabin while flanked by two swastika banners. Some band members sported Nazi patches and symbols on their clothes and instruments. In a video taken inside the cabin and posted by organisers, a flag of the international neo-Nazi network Blood & Honour hangs on a wall by the stage. As Bellingcat discussed in our investigation of European Fight Night in Hungary, Blood and Honour is banned in several European countries, including Germany and Spain. They were also listed as a terrorist organisation by the Canadian government in 2019. Meanwhile, members of the domestic neo-Nazi group Crew 38 Finland attended WBS, according to their Telegram channel.

Ex-prison officer jailed for possessing white supremacist ‘murder manual’ – #terror

Neo-Nazi Ashley Podsiad-Sharp worked at Leeds men’s prison HMP Armley until his arrest last year. A neo-Nazi former prison officer who ran a fascist fitness club has been sentenced to eight years in prison for possessing a terrorist handbook. Ashley Podsiad-Sharp, 42, from Barnsley was convicted at Sheffield crown court of possessing a white supremacist “murder manual” on an encrypted hard drive. Podsiad-Sharp, who worked at the Leeds men’s prison HMP Armley until his arrest in May last year, was described as an “extremely dangerous” man who was likely to have eventually committed terrorist acts or incited others to do so. Counter-terrorism police found he possessed a document called the White Resistance Manual, which contained advice on how to kill people in a race war and how to avoid detection by police. Calling himself “Sarge”, Podsiad-Sharp also ran White Stag Athletics Club, which was described by judge Jeremy Richardson KC as “a cauldron of self-absorbed neo-Nazism masquerading as a low-grade, all-male sports club”. It was used to “camouflage your real purpose, to incite violence against those you hated”. New members were asked if they were homosexual, mixed race or had Jewish or Muslim heritage as part of the vetting process for joining the white supremacist group, which Richardson said was for “inciting hatred” and “encouraging acts of violence” among the “ignorant and disillusioned men”.

The 42-year-old father-of-two from Barnsley was fired from his job with the Prison Service following his arrest and was working as a truck driver before being found guilty of possession of a document likely to be useful to a terrorist – a copy of the 200-page White Resistance Manual. Prosecutor Denise Breen-Lawton said said the document contained “numerous ways to commit terrorist attacks,” including information on how to kill people, use different weapons, build bombs and evade the police. Judge Jeremy Richardson KC jailed Sharp for eight years, with an extended sentence of five years, on Thursday, and said he would send his sentencing remarks to Justice Secretary Alex Chalk, who is responsible for prisons.

Antisemitic graffiti found at Sacramento-area elementary and K-8 campuses, district says

A student at an elementary school in Carmichael on Wednesday found a drawing of a Nazi swastika in a student bathroom on campus, officials said. Juliann Wolney, the principal at Del Dayo Elementary School, said in a message to parents that the student saw the Nazi swastika drawing during the lunch break. The swastika, an antisemitic symbol commonly used by hate groups, was found on the wall of a bathroom stall. The swastika found at the Carmichael school came three days after campus staff found graffiti with antisemitic language and symbols at another San Juan Unified School District campus. That graffiti was removed before students arrived on campus Monday morning. Raj Rai, a spokeswoman for the school district, said on Thursday there’s no indication that the antisemitic graffiti found Wednesday at Del Dayo is related to the antisemitic vandalism found at the Gold River Discovery Center, a K-8 school in the community of Gold River. Rai said a single drawing of a swastika was found at Del Dayo; no other graffiti was found on the campus. The student who spotted the graffiti at Del Dayo on Wednesday reported it to school staff. Wolney said staff responded immediately and removed the drawing. “Our school stands for respect and inclusion, and Del Dayo is a place where all are welcome and appreciated,” Wolney said in a message to parents. “Actions, symbols or language that exclude or demean others are not in alignment with our school community’s standards and will not be tolerated.”

Nach Vorfall vor Asylunterkunft: Razzia gegen Tatverdächtige

Wer hat im vergangenen Winter vor einer Asylunterkunft in Oberbayern Rauchfeuer entzündet? Polizei und Justiz ermitteln seit Monaten, nun haben sie umfassende Razzien gegen sieben Verdächtige durchgeführt. Die Spur führt zu identitären Gruppen. Nach einer Pyrotechnikaktion vor einer Asylunterkunft im oberbayerischen Peutenhausen sind Polizei und Justiz mit Durchsuchungen in Bayern, Baden-Württemberg und der Schweiz gegen sieben tatverdächtige Personen vorgegangen. Sechs teils vermummte Personen hatten am 9. Februar dieses Jahres Rauchfeuer vor einer Gemeinschaftsunterkunft in Peutenhausen entzündet, dazu ein Plakat mit ausländerfeindlichen Parolen enthüllt und die ganze Szenerie gefilmt. Drei Tatverdächtige konnte die Polizei anschließend bei der Fahndung auf einem Autobahnrastplatz bei Dasing in Schwaben festnehmen. Razzia bei sieben Tatverdächtigen Die Ermittlungen der Kriminalpolizei führten danach zur Identifizierung weiterer Tatverdächtiger. Nun gingen Justiz und Polizei mit einer Durchsuchungsaktion gegen die mittlerweile sieben Tatverdächtigen vor, darunter sechs Männer und eine Frau im Alter zwischen 20 und 33 Jahren. Einsatzkräfte durchsuchten mehrere Objekte in Oberbayern, Schwaben, Baden-Württemberg sowie in drei Schweizer Kantonen. Dabei seien umfangreiches Beweismaterial wie Speichermedien, vermutlich tatrelevante Kleidung und politische Schriftstücke sichergestellt worden, heißt es. Nach angeblicher Antifa-Attacke – Abgetrennte Finger von Neonazi in Braunglas-Container gefunden

Der Fall machte Schlagzeilen. Jetzt teilt die Staatsanwaltschaft Chemnitz mit: Die Finger von Neonazi Alexander W. sind aufgetaucht – sie lagen in einem Altglascontainer. Seit zwei Wochen hat das sächsische Landeskriminalamt nach drei Fingern eines Neonazis gesucht. Jetzt wurden die Ermittler fündig, wie Oberstaatsanwältin Ingrid Burghart t-online am Donnerstag bestätigte. Die Finger lagen demnach in einem am Mittwoch sichergestellten Altglascontainer für Braun- und Grünglas zwischen Scherben. (…() Stattdessen ermitteln sie mittlerweile gegen den 28 Jahre alten Alexander W. wegen des Vortäuschens einer Straftat. Brisant: Alexander W. soll enge Kontakte zu einer Führungsfigur der “Freien Sachsen” haben. Gemeinsam mit dem Neonazi-Anführer Michael Brück soll W. vor einigen Jahren von Dortmund nach Chemnitz gezogen sein. Bekannter von W. soll ihm die Finger abgehackt haben Wussten die “Freien Sachsen” also sehr genau, dass W. nicht von Antifaschisten überfallen worden war? Auf ihrem Telegram-Kanal mit 151.000 Abonnenten veröffentlichen sie weiter Propaganda in engem Takt, zu den abgetrennten Fingern von Alexander W. schweigen sie allerdings, seitdem das Landeskriminalamt bekannt gab, gegen ihn zu ermitteln. Man werde “nachberichten, sobald es tatsächlich neue Erkenntnisse gibt”, behaupteten die “Freien Sachsen” am Donnerstag auf eine Anfrage von t-online. Bisher ist dies jedoch nicht geschehen. Dafür löschte die rechtsextreme Partei am Donnerstag aber immerhin alte Beiträge aus ihrem Telegram-Kanal, in denen sie die “Macheten-Antifa”-These verbreitet hatte. Laut LKA steht statt vorgeblichen Antifaschisten nun ein 37-jähriger Bekannter von W. im Verdacht, ihm die Finger abgetrennt zu haben.

Der Container war am Dienstag beschlagnahmt worden. Zuletzt war das angebliche Opfer selbst in den Fokus der Ermittlungen gerückt. Gegen den 29-Jährigen werde wegen Vortäuschens einer Straftat ermittelt, teilte das Landeskriminalamt (LKA) am Montag mit.
