In Lichterfelde-Ost haben Rechtsextremisten einen SPD-Stand angegriffen. Einem Mann wurde mit Springerstiefeln ins Gesicht getreten. Ein brutaler Angriff von Rechtsextremisten auf einen SPD-Stand am Bahnhof Lichterfelde sorgt für Entsetzen. Ein Parteimitglied sei im Stadtteil Lichterfelde zu Boden geworfen und in Bauch und Gesicht getreten worden, teilte die SPD Steglitz-Zehlendorf auf der Plattform Instagram mit. Opfer des Angriffs war auch die Fraktionsvorsitzende der Bezirksverordnetenversammlung (BVV) Carolyn Macmillan. Die Polizei teilte auf Anfrage mit, dass es sich bei den Angreifern um Personen handele, die sich auf dem Weg zu einem rechten Aufmarsch in Friedrichshain und Lichtenberg befunden hätten. Sie seien aus einem anderen Bundesland angereist.  Bei dem Vorfall auf dem Kranoldplatz in der Nähe des Bahnhofs Lichterfelde-Ost am Mittag sei es zunächst zu verbalen Streitigkeiten mit Personen gekommen, die einen Stand der SPD betrieben hätten, sagte ein Polizeisprecher am Abend. Danach sei es zu Körperverletzungen gegen die Standbetreiber gekommen. Fünf Personen seien festgenommen und zu einer Gefangenensammelstelle gebracht worden, hieß es am Abend.

A Tacoma man with ties to white supremacist prison gangs was sentenced to more than six years in prison for helping distribute drugs in an operation that has turned up dozens of pounds of methamphetamine, thousands of fentanyl pills and large quantities of other drugs in a two-year investigation. Ronnie Griffin, 66, received his 75-month prison sentence in U.S. District Court in Tacoma on Thursday, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He held a leadership role in a drug-distribution ring linked to the white supremacist Aryan Family prison gang, assisting his stepson Jesse Bailey as a redistributor and confidant, the news release said. The full list of drugs seized by agents during their investigation of the involving Griffin, Bailey and others included an estimated 223 pounds of methamphetamine; an estimated 830,000 fentanyl pills; several pounds of fentanyl powder, cocaine, heroin and marijuana; $338,000 of suspected drug proceeds and 48 firearms, the release announcing Griffin’s sentence said. Authorities also seized about 22 pounds of methamphetamine, 26 pounds of fentanyl including both pills and powder, six pounds of heroin, over $330,000 of suspected drug proceeds and 177 more firearms during a series of arrests of organization members in March 2023. Griffin’s list of prior criminal convictions include theft, forgery, possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a weapon, identity theft, harassment and assault, as well as trying to run from law enforcement. He “has been in and out of prison most of his adult life,” prosecutors noted in the news release. He pleaded guilty Aug. 1 to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.

Schwarzer ist sauer. Die Politikerin Sahra Wagenknecht und die Autorin Alice Schwarzer veröffentlichten aufgrund des Kriegs in der Ukraine vor knapp zwei Jahren ihr »Manifest für Frieden«. Weil sie Russlands Urheberschaft an diesem Krieg kaum erwähnten und die Ukraine fast ausschließlich als Schlachtfeld, nicht als handelndes Subjekt, erwähnten, gerieten sie in die Kritik. Vor einer Kundgebung grenzten sie sich außerdem nicht klar vom rechten Rand ab. Nun folgte vor wenigen Tagen ein neuer Appell für einen Waffenstillstand in der Ukraine. Der Aufruf mit dem Titel »Eine Minute vor Zwölf« richtet sich »an die deutsche Politik« und warnt vor »einem großen europäischen Krieg«. (…) Gut möglich also, dass sich der Protest bei der von Schwarzer gegründeten Frauenzeitschrift »Emma« dieses Mal in Grenzen hält. »Selbst von ihren eigenen Leserinnen wird ›Emma‹ für ihr Engagement für Frieden keineswegs nur bestätigt, sondern von einer Minderheit auch abgestraft«, schrieb Schwarzer am vergangenen Samstag auf emma.de . Im Jahr 2023 habe es von den Leserinnen und Lesern viel Zustimmung gegeben. »Aber immerhin jede fünfte Leserin hat aus Protest ihr Abonnement gekündigt. Das soll wehtun – und tut es auch«, schreibt Schwarzer. (…) Schwarzer kritisiert derweil auch Medien. Switzerland is seeking to ban the swastika, Hitler salute and other Nazi signs due to a rise in antisemitism, the federal government has announced. The Federal Council said in a statement that “banning symbols linked to the Third Reich has taken on a particular urgency due to the sharp increase in antisemitic incidents”. It has proposed an immediate ban on the use of Nazi symbols in public and the imposition of a fine of about 200 Swiss francs (£177) on anyone who breaks the law. The Swiss penal code will be amended to punish anyone who uses a “racist, extremist, Nazi symbol or one that advocates violence in order to propagate the ideology it represents”. Switzerland also wants to go further than banning the most well-known Nazi symbols, extending it to more cryptic signs of recognition used by supporters of Nazi ideology. As such, use of the “18” – the first and eighth letter of the alphabet signifying Adolf Hitler’s initials – and “88” – for “Heil Hitler” – will also fall foul of the proposed law. “The context will play a decisive role in this case,” the council said. Exceptions are provided for educational, scientific, artistic or journalistic purposes but “within the limits of what freedom of expression allows”, it added. Existing religious symbols that are identical or similar to Nazi symbols will not be affected. Consultation on the proposed ban will run until 31 March next year and includes a separate future outlawing of “other extremist symbols”

The District Attorney General’s Office said Nicholas Jordan Alberts, 43, was convicted of illegally having a gun and several different drugs after he was pulled over. A member of a hate group known for its virulent hate speech and violent crimes was sentenced to 32 years in prison after he was convicted of illegally having a gun and drugs in his vehicle, officials said Friday. The District Attorney General’s Office said Nicholas Jordan Alberts, 43, was pulled over in October 2022 after a Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputy saw him cross the center double-yellow line. During the traffic stop, the deputy saw a gun in the passenger seat and a bag of drugs in the center console. A search of the vehicle revealed more heroin, methamphetamine, fentanyl, cash and a scale. Prosecutors said he is a known member of the Aryan Nation criminal gang and had nine prior felony convictions.

White supremacist gets two years in prison for attacking demonstrators at rallies

A federal judge tossed the charges against Robert Rundo, first filed in 2018, twice — prompting the Ninth Circuit to order another judge assigned to the case. A white supremacist was sentenced to two years in federal prison on Friday for organizing violent confrontations with leftist demonstrators at political rallies in California. Robert Rundo, 34, had pleaded guilty on September 13 to one count of conspiracy to violate the federal Anti-Riot Act. His sentencing hearing in Los Angeles marks the end of the lengthy prosecution that was derailed twice by U.S. District Judge Cormac Carney in Santa Ana. The George W. Bush appointee first dismissed the charges because he thought the U.S. Anti-Riot Act was “unconstitutionally overbroad.” After the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed that ruing and reinstated the charges and Rundo was extradited to the U.S. from Romania, Carney threw them out a second time, and concluded Rundo and his fellow defendants were the victims of selective prosecution because the government hadn’t charged antifa demonstrators who engaged in violence. Again, the Ninth Circuit reversed and this time ordered the case to be assigned to a different judge. Rundo then cut a plea deal with the prosecution, who agreed not to seek more than two years in prison.

Darunter auch für die Brandenburger Landtagsabgeordnete Daniela Oeynhausen. Das berichtet Spiegel-Online. Der mutmaßliche Rechtsextremist und „Reichsbürger“ Björn Winter, der sich im Internet „alternativer Medienmacher“ und „kritischer Berichterstatter“ nennt, soll inzwischen bei mehreren AfD-Abgeordneten angestellt sein. So auch bei der Brandenburger Landtagsabgeordneten Daniela Oeynhausen. Das berichtet das Nachrichtenmagazin Spiegel-Online am Freitag, 13. Dezember. Im jüngsten Landtagswahlkampf in Brandenburg war Winter unter anderem mit dem AfD-Spitzenkandidaten Hans-Christoph Berndt unterwegs. Bei Auftritten auf Marktplätzen wie in Groß Köris trat er als „Widerstands-DJ“ mit dem Künstlernamen „Björn Banane“ auf. Aus dem Kofferraum eines geparkten Autos beschallte er die Plätze mit Songs wie „Die Ampel muss weg“, „Mein Herz schlägt blau“ und „Ungeimpft“. Gegenüber dem Spiegel bestätigt der Aktivist, dass er auch AfD-Politiker in seiner Dienstleistung berate und dafür Geld bekomme. So arbeite er für die Brandenburger Landtagsabgeordnete Daniela Oeynhausen und habe einen Minijob beim Bundestagsabgeordneten Rainer Rothfuß, berichtet der Spiegel.
