#Terrorist Designations of The #Terrorgram Collective and Three Leaders

The United States remains deeply concerned about the racially or ethnically motivated violent extremist (REMVE) threat worldwide and committed to countering transnational components of violent white supremacism. Today, the Department of State is designating The Terrorgram Collective (Terrorgram) and three of its leaders as Specially Designated Global Terrorists pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) 13224, as amended. Terrorgram is a transnational terrorist group that primarily operates on the social media and digital messaging platform Telegram. The group promotes violent white supremacism, solicits attacks on perceived adversaries, and provides guidance and instructional materials on tactics, methods, and targets for attacks, including on critical infrastructure and government officials. The group also glorifies those who have conducted such attacks. Attacks or attempted attacks by Terrorgram users motivated and facilitated by the group include an October 2022 shooting outside an LGBTQI+ bar in Slovakia; a July 2024 planned attack on energy facilities in New Jersey; and an August 2024 knife attack at a mosque in Türkiye. In September 2024, DOJ charged two U.S. Terrorgram leaders with a 15-count indictment for soliciting hate crimes, soliciting the murder of federal officials, and conspiring to provide material support to terrorists. Additionally, the Department of State is designating three leaders of Terrorgram as SDGTs pursuant to E.O. 13224, as amended. Ciro Daniel Amorim Ferreira is a Terrorgram channel administrator. Ferreira is a Brazilian national residing in Brazil. Noah Licul is a senior member of Terrorgram. Licul is a Croatian national residing in Croatia. Hendrik-Wahl Muller is a Terrorgram channel administrator. Muller is a South African national residing in South Africa.

Rise in vigilante attacks in US highlight growing online DIY #terrorism resources

Ben Makuch Availability of manuals and instructions on less moderated apps and forums is making extremist content accessible. A spate of recent vigilante and extremist attacks in the US have highlighted how the booming availability of internet resources is a growing national security concern. Experts and world governments have been sounding the alarm on digital radicalization as accessibility to materials such as assassination manuals, files for 3D printed guns, or something as simple as ChatGPT grows. During the early days of the war on terror, obtaining literature and guidance on lone actor terrorist attacks from an organization like al-Qaida could require more obscure dark web access or specific tradecraft from harder to reach parts of the internet. But in 2025, on apps such as Telegram or Discord, which are downloadable and have limited barriers for entry, extremists and militant organizations of all political ideologies are regularly sharing PDFs or archives of military and insurgency skills primed for do-it-yourself terrorism. (…) Notably, while IS said it did not direct the terrorist attack in New Orleans, it did claim that their online propaganda and content had inspired the attacker. And these instructional terror guides are highly specific: everything from picking the target, to tailoring the best type of attack to that target, to the weapons and operational security to carry it out, are inside many of these digital resources. It’s not only IS and other jihadist terror groups spreading these kinds of manuals. At its inception, neo-Nazi terror group the Base hosted an entire digital trove of documents on guerrilla warfare, US Marine training, interrogation tactics, counter-surveillance techniques, bomb making and chemical weapons creation. More recently, Terrorgram, a proscribed white supremacist terrorist entity, seeded assassination lists across multiple platforms and frequently released guides outlining how to attack critical infrastructure, carry out mass shootings, bomb cell towers, derail trains and carry out broader hate crimes. “Damaging railroads, the veins of the beast system, is no casual affair and is time/labor intensive,” said one of the Terrorgram guides obtained by the Guardian. “It would likely require a decent chunk of explosives.” Cody Zoschak, a senior analyst at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, said he finds instructional manuals created by terrorist groups themselves the mos

Man Convicted in #Pizzagate Shooting Is Killed in Confrontation With Police – #terror

Edgar Maddison Welch, 36, of Salisbury, N.C., who was sentenced to four years in prison for the 2016 shooting at a Washington restaurant, was fatally shot after he pointed a gun at an officer during a traffic stop, the police said. A man in North Carolina who fired a rifle inside a Washington restaurant in 2016 because he wrongly believed an internet conspiracy known as Pizzagate was fatally shot by the police in North Carolina over the weekend when he pulled out a gun during a traffic stop, the authorities said. The man, Edgar Maddison Welch, 36, of Salisbury, N.C., was a passenger in a car on Saturday night when an officer with the Kannapolis Police Department recognized him from a prior arrest and believed there was an outstanding warrant over a felony probation violation, Chief Terry L. Spry of the Kannapolis Police Department said in a statement on Thursday. When the officer confirmed his suspicion and went to arrest him, Mr. Welch pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the officer, the police said. The police officer and a second officer ordered Mr. Welch to put his gun down. When he did not comply, they shot at him, the department said. Mr. Welch died on Monday at a hospital in Charlotte as a result of his injuries. (…) The shooting at Comet Ping Pong, a pizza parlor in Washington came amid a frenzy of false online rumors and accusations during the 2016 presidential campaign that the restaurant was holding children as sex slaves as part of a child-abuse ring led by Hillary Clinton. The conspiracy theory was started after people misinterpreted emails from the account of John Podesta, the chairman of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign, that were released by WikiLeaks. On Dec. 4, 2016, Mr. Welch, who went by Maddison, drove six hours from Salisbury to Comet Ping Pong in Northwest Washington to investigate the claims. He brought several guns with him and, shortly after he arrived at the restaurant, fired an assault-like AR-15 rifle inside the restaurant. No one was harmed in the shooting and Mr. Welch surrendered to the police. He later pleaded guilty in federal court to gun charges and received a four-year prison term.

siehe auch: LEAKED META RULES: USERS ARE FREE TO POST “MEXICAN IMMIGRANTS ARE TRASH!” OR “TRANS PEOPLE ARE IMMORAL” Under Meta’s relaxed hate speech rules, users can now post “I’m a proud racist” or “Black people are more violent than whites.” META IS NOW granting its users new freedom to post a wide array of derogatory remarks about races, nationalities, ethnic groups, sexual orientations, and gender identities, training materials obtained by The Intercept reveal. Examples of newly permissible speech on Facebook and Instagram highlighted in the training materials include: “Immigrants are grubby, filthy pieces of shit.” “Gays are freaks.” “Look at that tranny (beneath photo of 17 year old girl).” The changes are part of a broader policy shift that includes the suspension of the company’s fact-checking program. The goal, Meta said Tuesday, is to “allow more speech by lifting restrictions.” (…) While general comparisons to animals are still against the rules, many other kinds of broad, hateful stereotyping is now allowed. “ALL behavioral statements (qualified and non-qualified)” are also now no longer against Meta’s rules, the document reads, allowing sweeping generalizations connecting entire races or ethnic groups to criminality or terrorism. The document offers as examples of acceptable racial generalizations: “These damn immigrants can’t be trusted, they’re all criminals,” “I bet Jorge’s the one who stole my backpack after track practice today. Immigrants are all thieves,” and “Japanese are all Yakuza.” It notes, however, that the statement “Black people are all drug dealers” remains prohibited under the new rules. Other sections of the materials provide examples of forbidden “insults about sexual immorality,” such as “Jewish women are slutty.” But the document also provides ample examples of newly permissible insults aimed at specific gender identities or sexual orientations, including “Gay people are sinners” and “Trans people are immoral.” A post stating “Lesbians are so stupid” would remain prohibited as a “mental insult,” though “Trans people are mentally ill” is marked as allowed.

Man habe Nodex komplett “zerstört”.
