Einige Medien haben die gesamten 1.108 Seiten des AfD-Gutachtens veröffentlicht. Ist das erlaubt? Warum hat der Verfassungsschutz es nicht selbst veröffentlicht? Und warum darf der AfD-Anwalt das Dokument der AfD nur in seiner Kanzlei zeigen? Wie geheim ist denn nun das Gutachten, mit dem das Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz die AfD als “gesichert rechtsextremistisch” einstufte? Diese Frage kann man sich zu Recht stellen, wenn man die Entwicklungen der letzten Tage betrachtet: Noch am 2. Mai, als der Verfassungsschutz die Hochstufung bekannt gab, erklärte die damalige Bundesinnenministerin Nancy Faeser (SPD) in der ARD auf die Frage nach einer Veröffentlichung des Gutachtens: “Das ist eine sehr schwierige Entscheidung. Bisher wurde das nie getan, gerade um Quellen zu schützen und keine Hinweise darauf zuzulassen, wodurch die Erkenntnisse gewonnen wurden.” Es würde ausreichen, dass die Hochstufung vor dem Verwaltungsgericht überprüft werden könne. Fünf Tage später berichtete der “Spiegel” indes, er habe das 1108 Seiten lange Gutachten einsehen können. Wieder zwei Tage später hatte es auch die “Bild” vollständig vorliegen. Währenddessen kannte die AfD seinen Inhalt immer noch nur aus Medienberichten. Inzwischen haben der „Cicero“, „Nius“ und die „Junge Freiheit“ das Gutachten vollständig veröffentlicht. Strafbar dürften sie sich damit nicht gemacht haben. Journalisten sind nach § 353b Abs. 3a Strafgesetzbuch (StGB) vom Straftatbestand der Verletzung einer besonderen Geheimhaltungspflicht ausgenommen. Auch die umstrittene Vorschrift des § 353d StGB (Verbotene Mitteilungen über Gerichtsverhandlungen) gilt nicht für verwaltungsgerichtliche Verfahren. Dass auf dem Dokument auf jeder Seite oben “VS – Nur für den Dienstgebrauch” prangt, muss die Medien auch nicht kümmern. Denn diese Einstufung bindet nur die Behörden, nicht aber Dritte. Und das Urheberrecht? Behörden haben schon mehrfach versucht, mit dem Urheberrecht die Veröffentlichung von staatlichen Dokumenten zu verhindern. Dies wird oft unter dem Schlagwort “Zensurheberrecht” diskutiert. Der BGH entschied allerdings 2020 im Afghanistan-Papiere-Urteil, dass ein hohes öffentliches Interesse an einem Dokumenteninhalt das Urheberrecht in der Abwägung ausstechen kann.
Der Berliner Verfassungsschutz nimmt neue Gruppierungen in der rechtsextremen Szene ins Visier. Dabei geht es um “gewaltorientierte, rechtsextremistische Netzkulturen”, wie Verfassungsschutzchef Michael Fischer am Montag im zuständigen Ausschuss des Abgeordnetenhauses sagte. Den Vermerk für die Beobachtung habe er am Morgen unterzeichnet. Die entsprechenden Gruppierungen bezeichnete Fischer als “erwiesen rechtsextremistisch”, es gehe hier nicht um Verdachtsfälle. Verfassungsschutzchef Fischer sagte, seine Behörde habe diese Gruppen zuvor als “reines Internet-Phänomen” betrachtet. Inzwischen allerdings habe man es mit “etwas Neuem” zu tun. Die Einstufung als Beobachtungsobjekt soll es dem Verfassungsschutz laut Fischer erleichtern, das Problem zu bearbeiten. Der Behördenchef rechnet nach eigenen Angaben damit, dass “aus Online-Hass weitere Aktionen resultieren können”. Störaktionen und Kundgebungen gegen CSD-Veranstaltungen Die ehemalige Bundesregierung hatte im Oktober 2024 in ihrer Antwort auf eine Kleine Anfrage der Linken im Bundestag darauf hingewiesen [bundestag.de/PDF], dass die Gruppe “Deutsche Jugend Voran” durch öffentliche Störaktionen oder Kundgebungen gegen “Christopher Street Day”-Veranstaltungen in verschiedenen deutschen Städten in Erscheinung getreten sei. Polizei und Nachrichtendienste des Bundes und der Länder hatten sich im Gemeinsamen Extremismus und Terrorismusabwehrzentrum Rechts (GETZ-R) demnach bereits mehrfach mit der Gruppe befasst. In ihrer Antwort wies die damalige Bundesregierung auch auf die Entstehung neuer, rechtsextremistischer Gruppierungen hin, die soziale Medien dazu nutzten, um junge Mitglieder anzuwerben. Rechtsextremisten sind demnach zunehmend auf audiovisuell ausgerichteten Plattformen und Messenger-Diensten vertreten, die insbesondere Minderjährige nutzten. “Rechtsextremistische Ideologie wird dort teilweise unterschwellig im Zusammenhang mit Lifestylethemen wie Ernährung, Sport und Natur präsentiert. Mitunter werden dabei auch Verweise zu Chatgruppen auf anderen Plattformen geteilt, welche dann zur Rekrutierung und Mobilisierung genutzt werden”, hieß es.
A thwarted plot targeting a Lady Gaga concert attended by over two million people is the latest in Brazilian anti-LGBTQ+ violence On Sunday, May 4, two people were arrested for an alleged plot to detonate explosives in a targeted attack against the LGBTQ+ community at a Lady Gaga concert hosted at Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro. The event attracted an estimated 2.5 million people, who, according to police, were targeted by a coordinated hate movement “motivated by sexual orientation” that promoted “the dissemination of hate crimes, self-harm, pedophilia and violent content.” The Global Project Against Hate And Extremism (GPAHE) has warned of widespread, and growing, anti-LGBTQ+ hate in Brazil through an extensive report on the far-right extremists and hate groups operating in the country. Anti-LGBTQ+ movements in Brazil such as Movimento São Paulo Independente (São Paulo Independent Movement), and Nova Resistência (New Resistance) are still active on social media peddling bigotry. Some of these groups aren’t isolated to Brazil, like the Hammerskins Brazil, who are part of the larger transnational neo-Nazi Hammerskin Nation (HSN) network which originated in Texas in 1988. Lady Gaga has long been an advocate for queer rights and has a large LGBTQ+ fan base. She has called for marriage equality and protested the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, which forced gay military personnel to keep their sexual orientation a secret in the United States. More recently, she has openly spoken about the silencing of queer communities and her determination to help protect LGBTQ+ and other marginalized groups in the wake of Donald Trump’s second administration. She’s also the co-founder of the Born This Way Foundation, named after her hit song that is lauded as an LGBTQ+ anthem. The foundation conducts research and connects young people with mental health resources. The hate group (the name is unconfirmed at the time of publishing) responsible for planning the terrorist plot used social media to lure and entice young people into using improvised explosives and molotov cocktails to attack children, teens, and LGBTQ+ individuals at the concert as part of a “spiritual war” against Lady Gaga. In a new development, a third person was charged with terrorism after it was found they planned to carry out “a satanist ritual by killing a child or a baby” during the concert. Authorities reported the would-be attackers were found on Discord, a text and video chat platform used predominantly by gamers. Social media is a known medium for extremist recruitment and radicalization, having played a part in multiple mass casualty events around the world. Video games and gaming-adjacent platforms, which are used by far-right hate movements for recruitment and real-world organization, play a major role in the proliferation of violent hatred and are mentioned in several manifestos of ideologically-motivated attackers worldwide. Recent examples include the Nashville shooter, who killed one and injured two others in January 2025, the Abundant Life Christian School shooter, who killed two and injured six in December 2024, and an attacker in Turkey who stabbed five people at a mosque in August 2024. Other organizations like the violent extremist group 764 have a presence in Brazil. 764, an offshoot of the violent neo-Nazi Order of Nine Angles (O9A), originating in the UK and known for human sacrifice and terrorism, is a transnational network originating in the United States targeting LGBTQ+ youth, and that spreads child pornography and neo-Nazi content through Discord. This violent cultish behavior is similar to what the concert’s would-be attackers also planned in Brazil. The targeting of mass gatherings of LGBTQ+ people using improvised explosives and molotov cocktails mirrors the devastating attacks on the 2009 São Paulo Pride Parade by the neo-Nazi group Impacto Hooligan (Hooligan Impact), whose members detonated a bomb in the parade, injuring 40 people, and attacked a young gay Black man, who later died in the hospital. The former leader of Associação Cívica e Cultural Arcy Lopes Estrella (Civic and Cultural Association Arcy Lopes Estrella, ACCALE), another Brazilian anti-LGBTQ+ movement, was indicted in a 2019 molotov cocktail bombing of the Porta dos Fundos video production company in Rio de Janeiro, likely triggered by its release of a Christmas special on Netflix which depicted Jesus as gay.
Since the inauguration, the Trump administration has moved in a blitz to implement the authoritarian Project 2025 agenda, touching on many aspects of American life. Previous reporting has claimed that this was a part of a “flood-the-zone” strategy to overwhelm opponents with as many radical reforms as possible in order to prevent them from mounting an effective defense. The Global Project Against Hate and Extremism (GPAHE) has previously reported (see here) that many of these initial changes are lifted from authoritarian playbooks in countries such as Russia and Hungary. One underappreciated aspect of this strategy has been the outsourcing of decisions, or really targets, to civilian activists in the broader far-right ecosystem. The administration has taken advice from prominent accounts on billionaire Elon Musk’s X/Twitter, including anti-trans activist Chaya Raichik (Libs of TikTok), the unofficial DOGE-affiliate Jennica Pounds (DataRepublican), and anti-Critical Race Theory (CRT) activist Chris Rufo, on where to cut and who to target with administrative actions. Trump has no concerns with relegating critical government decisions affecting Americans to the far-right MAGA movement. As previously reported on by GPAHE, many of the policies being put into place and decisions to hire and fire federal employees originate with the Heritage Foundation (see GPAHE’s reporting here), the organization behind the rights-stripping Project 2025 (see GPAHE’s analysis of Project 2025 here), while the pro-Trump think tank America First Policy Institute (AFPI) was given the opportunity to stack various departments of the administration with their employees (see GPAHE’s reporting here and here). Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Musk, has been another prominent actor in firing thousands of workers and canceling federal contracts. In order to accelerate this process even further, it appears that the Trump administration has made it an unofficial policy to outsource some of these efforts to the online far right, acting on Twitter suggestions on government workers who should be fired and programs to cut.

The white supremacist neo-Nazi terrorist organisation known as The Base is expanding its scope, aligning its interests with Russian goals, and leveraging FBI Director Kash Patel’s stand down on domestic terrorism investigations to increase its footprint in the U.S. Founded in 2018 by former U.S. Department of Homeland Security employee Rinaldo Nazzaro, the group specifically follows an accelerationist ideology aimed at fueling societal collapse through terrorist attacks. Since 2018, Nazzaro has been based in Russia, and the Base recently relocated its digital infrastructure. Furthermore, these moves coincide with allegations from former members of the organisation that Nazzaro has ties with Russian intelligence. KJ-1. The Base has aligned its operations with Russia’s strategic interests and we do not see any indications that this trend will abate. The Base recently expressed their interest to establish a white nationalist enclave in Ukraine’s Zakarpattia region. Specifically, they mentioned the region’s mountainous terrain as an ideal base for paramilitary operations. An attack from the group can destabilise Ukraine and distract Ukrainian forces. [source] Since late March 2025, the group’s Ukrainian cell has posted around 50 geotagged videos of spray-painted symbols in cities such as Kyiv, Odessa, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv. Ukrainian intelligence previously identified these locations as possible Russian targets for sabotage. The Base’s recent anti-Ukraine focus aligns with allegations that its founder and leader, Rinaldo Nazzaro, has ties to Russian intelligence and suggests that it has become part of Moscow’s hybrid warfare toolkit. Als Mittel der antifaschistischen Intervention wird ein M4 Sherman genutzt, der während des Zweiten Weltkriegs entwickelt wurde und von den Alliierten gegen Nazi-Deutschland zum Einsatz kam. Auf dem Nummernschild des Teslas ist das Wort “Fascism” zu lesen – also Faschismus. The speaker, wearing a clown mask and standing in front of a Nazi flag, claimed to speak on behalf of the “autonomous sabotage group NS/WP.”
