A SCOTTISH neo-Nazi fight club has revealed links to one of the most active white supremacist groups in the United States. Speaking on a far right podcast, a representative of Caledonia Club said that members of Patriot Front had visited Scotland, describing how the group had learned about the American organisation’s structure. Caledonia Club – formerly Active Club Scotland – is part of the wider international Active Club movement, which combines physical exercise with far right beliefs. A report by anti-racism campaign group Hope Not Hate in 2024 found that the Scottish group’s members included individuals who had made bomb threats and marched with National Action, a proscribed neo-Nazi terrorist organisation. Speaking about his experiences with Caledonia Club, the representative – who wasn’t named on the podcast – described meeting members of Patriot Front as one of his “favourite memories”. “One of the coolest experiences we had was we had some of the Patriot Front members come over to Scotland, and that was a really good opportunity to speak with them and find out more about how their organisation runs and is structured,” he said. “It’s a very impressive organisation that they have.” He added that he hopes that Caledonia Club could eventually emulate the scale of the American extremist group, which was founded in 2017 following the deadly Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
