A group of masked men gathered outside a Kingston hotel on Sunday in protest of nearly 100 men, women and children — many of them migrants — who were sheltered there by a state agency last week, according to police. Over 20 people, most of them appearing to be men, displayed a sign reading “refugees not welcome” while handing out pamphlets and using a loudspeaker to spout anti-refugee rhetoric and to advertise their white supremacist affiliation, the Kingston Police Department said in a statement. (…) “They were doing some white supremacy signs and stuff, so it was pretty concerning for our small town,” Plymouth Pride President Nicole O’Brien told WCVB. Police ordered the white supremacist group to leave the hotel property. “The group then spent some time on the public sidewalk in the area before they dispersed,” Kingston police said. “There were no reports of violence and the group is no longer gathered in the area.” The masked individuals belonged to a hate group that advertised their affiliation, according to police. The men were dressed in khakis, black shirts, hats, and face masks to hide their identities. They belonged to NSC-131, which the Anti-Defamation League describes as a Neo-Nazi group.
