Daytona Beach Shores police said Tuesday they are investigating a case where a man found with a homemade explosive device claimed to be a skinhead and a neo-Nazi, authorities said. Frederick Jordan Price, 26, of Port Orange was first arrested Nov. 30 by Daytona Beach Shores police after he was found sleeping in a BMW on the shoulder of the road in the 3000 block of South Peninsula Drive. A homemade explosive device sitting in the vehicle’s cup holder was visible to police. Price was unresponsive in the driver’s seat with his foot on the brake and the vehicle’s engine running, a report said. (…) Frederick was charged with making/possessing a destructive device, possession of heroin, driving under the influence, carrying a concealed weapon, prior refusal to submit to testing, possession of paraphernalia. He had been out of jail on $7,500 bail. (…) “Once in custody, Frederick Price openly admitted to being a “skinhead” and that he is a “neo-Nazi.” He advised that he has strong ties to the “brotherhood and their ideologies,” Daytona Beach Shores police wrote in their report.
