Australia lists online white supremacist network #Terrorgram as #terrorist organisation

Members of an online white supremacist network, which has successfully orchestrated terror attacks across the world, are now facing up to 25 years in jail in Australia. Terrorgram is described as a “nationalist and racist violent extremist organisation” which primarily operates on Telegram, sharing material and instructions about attacks that target minority groups, critical infrastructure and certain individuals. The group has successfully inspired terrorist attacks in the US, Europe and Asia. Today, Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke announced Terrorgram has been officially listed as a terrorist organisation under the law following consultations with national security and intelligence agencies. “This listing will give Australian police and security and intelligence agencies significantly more power to keep Australians safe and restrict the operation of extremists in our country,” he said in a statement. “This group fosters and promotes an ideology that would seek to make some Australians feel unwelcome in their home, it is this extremist hatred which is not welcome and has no place in Australia.” Terrorgram members, their associates, and anyone who recruits, trains, helps move funds or provides support to the group now face up to 25 years imprisonment.

A swastika-tattooed man was convicted Monday of berating and menacing a pregnant Black woman and threatening the life of her unborn child and now faces at least 38 years in prison after the Orange County district attorney appealed an earlier sentence he called too “lenient.” The case began nearly seven years ago, when Tyson Theodore Mayfield, a self-proclaimed skinhead, berated and menaced a pregnant Black woman waiting for her bus on a Fullerton bench, according to prosecutors. The then-42-year-old Mission Viejo man clenched his fists and threatened the life of the woman’s unborn child, according to a criminal complaint. The woman, known as Jane Doe in court documents, fled and called Fullerton police, who didn’t locate the man. She soon returned to the bench and so did Mayfield, who threatened her again amid a barrage of racial slurs, according to court documents. This time, Doe tucked into a nearby restaurant and called the police, who found and apprehended Mayfield. That arrest and a guilty plea on two felony counts and one misdemeanor count initially resulted in a five-year sentence. After a series of court disputes and pressure from groups, including the Orange County district attorney’s office, Mayfield will serve at least 38 years, according to prosecutors.

‘Neo-nazi’ teen wanted to go on ‘#terrorist rampage inspired by Jo Cox murder’

A neo-nazi teenager who was caught by MI5 as he tried to buy a gun for an attack has said he was inspired by the murder of MP Jo Cox. Alfie Coleman was detained during an undercover operation while he paid £3,500 for a Makarov pistol and ammunition in a supermarket car park. Coleman, who is now 21, believed in ‘the supremacy of white people and neo-Nazism’ and idolised Thomas Mair, who killed the Labour MP for Batley and Spen, jurors heard. The teenager had approached far-right organisation Patriotic Alternative in July 2021, saying he wanted to participate in its activism. The Old Bailey heard that he had allegedly planned a terrorist attack in 2022 on ‘Mayor of London house’, with his target specified as the address of the Lord Mayor of London. His plan included a reference to planting an explosive in a cash machine and the use of knives and crossbows, but was later abandoned, jurors heard. Another file outlined another planned attack, this time a plane hijacking. In a ‘diary’ document, Coleman had also expressed interest in going to France, which he said was close to an ‘all out race war’ and was ‘where I feel most useful and where I can create the biggest impact. Coleman, of Great Notley, Essex, was caught after agreeing to buy a Makarov pistol, five magazines and 200 rounds of ammunition.  He made the purchases after conversing with undercover officers on social networks including Telegram and Wire for several months, believing they were sympathetic to his views. The former Tesco worker was led to believe that the goods would be delivered in a Land Rover Discovery at a Morrisons car park in Stratford, East London on September 29, 2023. Just two days before he picked up his equipment, Coleman allegedly told a contact: ‘Just something has gotta be done, how long can we sit here and talk over the internet.’

He was arrested by armed police after the supermarket snare in Stratford, east London, on 23 September 2023.

Kanye to headline Slovakia festival despite pro-Hitler song

“Hip-hop visionary, cultural icon and controversial genius YE will perform July 20, 2025 exclusively at the Rubicon Festival in Bratislava. It will be his only confirmed live performance in Europe in 2025 — and ever first show in Slovakia in history,” organizers confirmed on the event’s website on Monday. “Rubicon Festival is raising the bar for European festivals to a whole new level.” His participation in the festival has sparked anger. More than 3,000 people have already signed a petition asking the festival to cancel the performance of the rapper, who is formerly known as Kanye West. The authors of the petition point out that Ye has in recent years repeatedly and openly adopted the symbolism and ideology associated with Nazi Germany, having written, for example, “I am a Nazi” and “I love Hitler” on social media platforms. “He trivializes the crimes of the totalitarian dictatorial regime and the war atrocities that also affected the Slovak population,” the petition reads. The petition refers to Ye’s latest track, “Heil Hitler,” which was released on May 8 — the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II. The song references the Nazi salute which was used while Adolf Hitler was in power. The single’s artwork resembles a swastika, and the song ends with a lengthy sample from a Hitler speech. As the petition also mentions, the song is banned in Germany. Nazi symbols prohibited in Germany Within Germany, Ye’s video cannot be seen among his posts on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. Changing one’s location to the United States with a VPN makes the post visible.

Die VR-Bank Mitte hat dem Göttinger AfD-Kreisverband offenbar das Konto gekündigt. Die Sparkasse muss nach Klage der AfD nun das Konto der Partei führen. Die „Omas gegen Rechts“ hatten zuvor von der VR-Bank Mitte eine „finanzielle Brandmauer“ gefordert. Die VR-Bank Mitte hat dem AfD-Kreisverband Göttingen offenbar das Vereinskonto gekündigt. Wie der Vorsitzende des Kreisverbandes, Justin Vogel, gegenüber dem Tageblatt angibt, sei die Kündigung ohne Angabe von Gründen erfolgt. Nach seinen Angaben beruft sich die Bank dabei auf ihre Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen, die eine ordentliche Kündigung ohne Begründung ermöglichen. VR-Bank-Mitte-Vorstand Björn Henkel wollte die Kontokündigung auf Anfrage weder bestätigen noch dementieren. Aufgrund des Bankgeheimnisses gebe die Bank „keinerlei Auskunft über Kundenbeziehungen“. Auf der entsprechenden Internetseite des AfD-Kreisverbandes wird aktuell ein Konto bei der Sparkasse Göttingen geführt. Diese hatte sich zunächst gegen eine Kontoeröffnung für den AfD-Kreisverband gewehrt. Das Geldinstitut begründete dies nach Vogels Angaben gegenüber dem Kreisverband mit dem Hinweis auf einen drohenden Reputationsverlust. Der AfD-Kreisverband klagte daraufhin vor dem Verwaltungsgericht Göttingen – mit Erfolg. „Aufgrund eines rechtskräftigen Beschlusses des Verwaltungsgerichts Göttingen sind wir verpflichtet, der AfD eine Kontoführung zu ermöglichen“, sagte Sparkassen-Sprecherin Carolin Puls. Das Gericht habe sich dabei auf Paragraf 5 des Parteiengesetzes berufen, der die Gleichbehandlung aller politischen Parteien vorschreibt. Das Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz (BfV) hat die AfD im Mai als „gesichert rechtsextremistisch“ eingestuft.

Bereits im Januar 2025 hatte die Volksbank Düsseldorf-Neuss sämtliche Konten der nordrhein-westfälischen AfD sowie ihrer Landtagsfraktion geschlossen. Auch in anderen Bundesländern, wie Berlin und Baden-Württemberg, kam es zu ähnlichen Fällen. Die Banken berufen sich auf das Bankgeheimnis und äußern sich nicht öffentlich zu den Gründen. Die AfD hingegen spricht von einem „ideologisch motivierten und undemokratischen Vorgehen“. Die AfD sieht sich durch die Kündigungen in ihrer politischen Arbeit behindert. Parteivertreter bezeichnen das Vorgehen als gezielte Strategie, um die Partei finanziell und organisatorisch zu schwächen. In Göttingen kündigte der Kreisverband an, rechtliche Schritte zu prüfen und notfalls auf die Sparkasse auszuweichen – eine Bank, die laut Gesetz verpflichtet ist, sogenannte Basiskonten auch für politische Parteien bereitzustellen.

Die AfD in Dithmarschen wollte eigentlich am Sonntag (29.6.) einen neuen Vorsitzenden wählen. Der Dithmarscher AfD-Kreisparteitag ist abgesagt worden. Das teilt der Landesvorsitzende Kurt Kleinschmidt mit. “Es gab wohl massiven Druck auf den Vermieter des Raumes”, sagt Kleinschmidt. Wo die AfD in Dithmarschen ihren Parteitag abhalten wollte, ist nicht bekannt. Wahl eines neuen Vorsitzenden wird damit vertagt Der ehemalige Kreisvorsitzende der AfD, Mario Reschke, ist Anfang Juni vom Schiedsgericht der Partei aus der AfD ausgeschlossen worden. Der Grund dafür sind angebliche rechtsextreme Gesten von Reschke auf einem Konzert in seiner Gaststätte in Nordhastedt (Kreis Dithmarschen).

18-Jähriger in Sebnitz bei rassistisch motivierter Auseinandersetzung verletzt

Ein junger Syrer wurde in Sebnitz rassistisch beleidigt und mit einem Baseballschläger bedroht. Die Polizei bittet nun um Hinweise von Zeugen zur weiteren Aufklärung des Falls. Ein 18-jähriger Mann ist am Donnerstagabend bei einer Auseinandersetzung in Sebnitz leicht verletzt und rassistisch beleidigt worden. Der Vorfall ereignete sich gegen 19.30 Uhr auf einem Parkplatz an der Bahnhofstraße. Auslöser war ein Übergriff auf einen syrischen Jungen, der von einem zunächst unbekannten Mann geohrfeigt worden war. Der 18-Jährige stellte den Angreifer zur Rede und wurde daraufhin mit einem Baseballschläger bedroht und gestoßen. Der Täter deutete außerdem an, mit dem Schläger zuzuschlagen.

Ein zunächst Unbekannter hatte einen jungen Syrer geohrfeigt. Der 18-Jährige stellte den handgreiflichen Mann daraufhin zur Rede, dann wurde es für ihn noch schlimmer. Der Mann stieß den Syrer mit einem Baseballschläger und deutete an, auf den 18-Jährigen einzuschlagen. Daraufhin nahmen der Syrer sowie weitere seiner Begleiter Reißaus. Dabei wurde die Gruppe von zwei weiteren fremdenfeindlichen Personen verfolgt und rassistisch beleidigt.
