Entsetzliche Bluttat mit elf Toten: Täter hinterlässt grausige Botschaft – Rechter #Terror in Hessen? #hanau

Foreign Fighters and the Global War for White Supremacy – #azov

Far-right activists have a long history of traveling overseas to fight for global white supremacy. Why aren’t they treated as terrorists? A 1975 article in British Patriot magazine tells the story of John Coey, a 24-year-old college graduate from Ohio who was killed fighting for the continuation of white supremacy in the unrecognized state of Rhodesia. A member of the National Socialist White People’s Party (previously American Nazi Party), Coey had long been engaged in extremist activism. Having begun officer training for the United States Marine Corps, Coey asked for a discharge with the intent to travel to southern Africa and fought with both the Rhodesian Special Air Service and the Rhodesian Light Infantry. (…) In the following decade, this tradition continued, with far-right mercenaries traveling to the Balkans to support neo-Ustashist elements within the Croat cause. Members of the French nationalist-revolutionary group, New Resistance, traveled to Croatia to join the Black Legion in 1991, where they were joined by Italian, Spanish, British and American recruits, the majority of whom were linked to extreme-right organizations within their own countries. The number of recruits grew to such an extent that a number of specific international paramilitary brigades were founded. (…) While the landscape of extreme-right activism has shifted in recent years, the foreign fighter problem remains very real. The most recent battleground has been in Crimea, where extreme-right activists from across Europe and North America have joined up with the now notorious Azov Battalion, an ultranationalist Ukrainian paramilitary infamous for its political extremism and violence. The battalion has become a magnet, attracting over 2,500 “ethnic nationalist” volunteers from Sweden, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia, many of whom see their battle as a “fight against the extinction of Europe.”In Germany, former Azov members have been actively recruiting, and flyers with instructions on how to join were recently distributed at a notorious far-right rock festival. In Ukraine, these far-right activists are being trained and tested in warfare scenarios, bringing their newly found expertise, experience and extremism back to their home countries and organizations. In the following decade, this tradition continued, with far-right mercenaries traveling to the Balkans to support neo-Ustashist elements within the Croat cause. If Christchurch shooter Brenton Tarrant’s claim that he trained with the Azov is to be believed, we may already be witnessing the result

Norwegian mosque terror suspect reportedly inspired by El Paso Walmart mass shooting

A Norwegian man suspected of killing his stepsister and then storming an Oslo mosque with firearms “with the intention to kill as many Muslims as possible” was formally charged Monday with murder and terror. Philip Manshaus was overpowered inside the Al-Noor Islamic Center mosque in suburban Oslo in August. He fired six shots but didn’t hit anyone. One person was slightly injured when they jumped on Manshaus inside the mosque and held him until police arrived. Norwegian media have reported that Manshaus was inspired by shootings in March in New Zealand, in which a gunman targeted two mosques, killing 51 people, and in August in El Paso, in which a white supremacist is accused of targeting Mexicans in an attack that left 22 dead.

What is the ‘boogaloo?’ How online calls for a violent uprising are hitting the mainstream

The movement says it wants a second Civil War targeting liberal political opponents and law enforcement. An anti-government movement that advocates for a violent uprising targeting liberal political opponents and law enforcement has moved from the fringes of the internet into the mainstream in recent months and surged on social media, according to a group of researchers that tracks hate groups. The movement, which says it wants a second Civil War organized around the term “boogaloo,” now includes groups on mainstream internet platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Reddit as well as fringe websites including 4chan, according to a report released Tuesday night by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), an independent nonprofit of scientists and engineers that tracks and reports on misinformation and hate speech across social media. Extremist Content Online: Amazon Continues To Profit From Sales Of Neo-Nazi, White Supremacist Content

The Counter Extremism Project (CEP) reports weekly on the methods used by extremists to exploit the Internet and social media platforms to recruit followers and incite violence. This week, CEP finds that Amazon continues to sell notorious neo-Nazi books, including The Turner Diaries, despite a company policy statement that it would halt the sales of several neo-Nazi and white supremacist books. Additionally, white supremacist accelerationist Telegram channels continue to encourage violence in Virginia in response to legislature’s proposed assault weapon ban. Also, CEP researchers located a website and social media accounts for a new extreme right group, Revolt Through Tradition (RTT). A pro-ISIS account urged ISIS supporters to end their use of the application TamTam and instead utilize alternate options such as Telegram, Riot and RocketChat. Also, the neo-Nazi group, Feuerkrieg Division (FKD), announced on their Telegram channel that the group was disbanding. Finally, CEP researchers found a pro-ISIS blog on the Blogspot platform. Amazon Continues Selling Notorious Neo-Nazi Books Amazon continues to sell the notorious neo-Nazi book The Turner Diaries. A February 9 New York Times article about the multi-billion dollar company “quietly canceling its Nazis” stated that Amazon was halting sales of several neo-Nazi and white supremacist books, however there are numerous examples on Amazon of egregious works that encourage violence.
The Turner Diaries describes a white supremacist revolution in the U.S. and eventual genocide. The book has helped inspire several terrorists and extremists, including Timothy McVeigh, who perpetrated the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, and Anders Breivik, who murdered 77 people in two terror attacks in Norway on July 22, 2011. “Amazon recently stated its commitment to end the sales of a select few neo-Nazi and white supremacist books on its platform, but they continue to allow books like The Turner Diaries to be sold in multiple languages despite its notorious reputation for helping to inspire extremists in North America and Europe to commit acts of violence,” said CEP Researcher Joshua Fisher-Birch. “CEP has noted for months that physical copies of the book have been sold by third party sellers, and this week we located copies of the book sold directly via Amazon and available with shipping through Amazon Prime. If Amazon is truly committed to halting sales of violent racist, anti-Semitic, and neo-Nazi content, The Turner Diaries is a great place to start.” On February 13, The Turner Diaries was widely available on Amazon, including copies in English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese. The Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese versions of the book were available with free shipping via Amazon Prime directly from the company. English and French versions of the sequel were also available on Amazon. The book is banned in Germany and Austria. In July 2019, YouTube removed audio copies of the book from its platform.

White Supremacists Involved In Gun, Drug Trade Sentenced to a Combined 820 Years in Prison as Part of Sweeping Federal Prosecution

More than five dozen defendants with ties to white supremacist gangs will spend the next several years behind bars. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas announced Friday that 64 people belonging to the hate groups were recently sentenced to a combined 820 years in federal prison. According to U.S. Justice Department officials, the mass sentencing marks the end of a sweeping probe that began in 2014 and included more than 150 defendants. The first round of 89 accused gangsters were convicted in 2017 and later sentenced to a combined 1,070 years in jail. The remaining 64 defendants — all of whom were members or affiliates of white nationalist gangs, including the Aryan Brotherhood and the Dirty White Boys — were indicted in May 2018. On Deb. 13, a U.S. district judge sentenced the 64th and final defendant in this latest round to over 11 years in federal prison. “Not only do white supremacist gangs endorse repugnant ideologies, they also facilitate a violent drug and gun trade, putting our citizens in grave danger,” U.S. Attorney Erin Nealy Cox said in a news release. “We were alarmed — but not necessarily surprised — at the quantities of drugs and firearms recovered during this investigation.” Between 2015 and 2018, federal authorities said gang members trafficked more than 1,600 kilos of methamphetamine, 59 firearms and several other drugs like heroin and cocaine. Defendants were also accused of kidnapping and assaulting victims they claimed had stolen their drug money. One even confessed to “amputat[ing] a victim’s finger” over a drug debt. A vast majority of the accused were no strangers to committing violent crime and between then had racked up a combined 587 convictions, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
