„Genau so funktioniert Radikalisierung“: AfD-Songs fluten TikTok

Zahlreiche TikTok-Sounds verherrlichen Heimatliebe und Ausländerfeindlichkeit. Dahinter könnte die AfD selbst stecken. „Wir sind AfD, wir stehen bereit für Tradition und Kultur. Wir kämpfen weit und breit, deutsche Fahnen hoch“, singt eine rauchige Stimme zu einer poppigen Melodie mit hartem elektronischem Beat. Titel: „Wir sind die AfD“. Auf TikTok tauchen plötzlich viele solcher Sounds auf, die die AfD feiern. Manche klingen nach deutschem Schlager, manche nach Techno Trance. Sounds nennt man auf der Plattform kurze Song-Ausschnitte, die im Hintergrund von Videos laufen. Wo kommen sie her? Rechtsextremismus-Experte Lorenz Blumenthaler von der Amadeu Antonio Stiftung vermutet, dass hinter den Sounds in Teilen die AfD selbst stecken könnte. Im Fall von „Wir sind die AfD“ scheint es die AfD-Politikerin Samantha Flak zu sein. Sie ist stellvertretende Fraktionsvorsitzende der Stadtvertretung Kaltenkirchen in Schleswig-Holstein und stellvertretende Vorsitzende der Jungen Alternativen in Südholstein. Ein Video zu dem TikTok-Sound kommentierte sie mit den Worten „Habe ich selbst gemacht“. „Wir sind die AfD“ singt eine Männerstimme. Flak kann offensichtlich nicht die Sängerin sein. Blumenthaler geht davon aus, dass sie den Sound mit Künstlicher Intelligenz erstellt hat. Zum Beispiel könnte sie das Gratis-Programm „Sumo“ genutzt haben. Für unsere Recherche haben wir es aufgefordert, einen Schlagerhit mit dem Satz „Wir sind die AfD“ zu erstellen – und erhalten einen Song, der ähnlich klingt. (…) Der TikTok-Forscher Marcus Bösch erklärte BuzzFeed News Deutschland, dass TikTok-Sounds Ohrwürmer auslösen können. „Sie bleiben ungewollt im Kopf“, sagt auch Blumenthaler. „Es geht darum, Identität zu stiften und neue Zielgruppen in die Lebenswelten Rechtsextremer hineinzuziehen. Genau so funktioniert letzten Endes Radikalisierung.“

Hagener AfD-Mann unterstützt verstörenden Treblinka-Post

Mit dem Gebaren auf seiner Facebook-Seite löst der Hohenlimburger Bezirksvertreter Andreas Rode Ermittlungen wegen Volksverhetzung aus. Wenn ein Mandatsträger aus einem demokratisch gewählten Gremium der Stadt Hagen im Internet einen Beitrag likt, der die Unterbringung von Entscheidern und Machern in einem Vernichtungslager nach dem Vorbild von Treblinka suggeriert, schrillen die Alarmglocken. So geschehen auf der Facebook-Seite des Hohenlimburger AfD-Vertreters Andreas Rode, der dort einen entsprechenden Kommentar zu einem der schockierendsten Tatorte der Nazi-Gräueltaten des Holocausts mit einem wohlmeinenden Herzchen-Smiley versieht. Für den Mann, der in diesem Jahr seinen 61. Geburtstag feiert und in Hohenlimburg sich weitgehend unter dem Wahrnehmungsradar bewegt, eine „Unachtsamkeit, die mich in völlig falsches Licht gesetzt hat“. Für die Hagener Staatsanwaltschaft sowie den Staatsschutz der Hagener Polizei hingegen Grund genug, ein Ermittlungsverfahren wegen Volksverhetzung einzuleiten – im Fall von Rode nach Recherchen der Stadtredaktion übrigens nicht zum ersten Mal. (…) Besonders verstörend darunter ein Beitrag eines gewissen „Ree Yees“, der dort öffentlich sichtbar formuliert: „Die können mich ALLE am Arsch lecken mit Ihrer verlogenen Scheiße! Wenn ich könnte, wie ich würde/und wollte, wären all diese verlogenen sogenannten Mächtigen, die damit im Prinzip nur Kohle machen und wiedermals Angst für Dumme Menschen verbreiten wollen, schon längst im wieder eröffneten Treblinka!“ Gemeint ist jenes Vernichtungslager östlich von Warschau, in dem in den Jahren 1942 und 1943 etwa 800.000 bis 900.000 Menschen – vorzugsweise Juden aus Polen sowie Sinti und Roma – systematisch vergast wurden. Der Hohenlimburger AfD-Bezirksvertreter unterstützt diesen Beitrag, der immerhin die Wiedereinführung der nationalsozialistischen Massenmord-Praxis propagiert, mit einem putzigen Smiley-Emoji mit Herzchen im Arm.

Boy, 12, admits participating in two scenes of violent disorder in Manchester

Boy and another 12-year-old among string of offenders pleading guilty in courts across England. A 12-year-old boy has admitted to participating in two separate incidents of disorder in Manchester after he was caught throwing a missile at a police van and kicking the front window of a vape shop. The boy was one of two 12-year-olds who became the youngest to be convicted of criminal offences relating to the nationwide disorder earlier this month. They were among a string of offenders in courts across England who pleaded guilty to charges on Monday relating to the unrest. Prison sentences of up to three years were issued to those who had admitted to crimes at earlier hearings. The boy admitted to two charges of violent disorder at Manchester magistrates court, sitting as a youth court. District judge Joanne Hirst said the “very serious” case was the first she had dealt with in which someone had taken part in two separate incidents in the city. He attacked a bus outside a Holiday Inn housing asylum seekers on 31 July, kicking it and handing a rock to another youth. Then on 3 August he was filmed kicking the front window of a vape shop during disorder in Manchester city centre. Hirst said: “He’s more involved in the violence and disorder than any other defendant I’ve seen coming through these courts, adult or child.” Another 12-year-old, who was filmed throwing an object at police and riding off on his bike during the unrest in Southport on 30 July, pleaded guilty to violent disorder at Liverpool youth court.

Öffnet man die Videoplattform Rumble, wird schnell klar, als was man sich hier gerne sieht: als Youtube für Erwachte, das den Schlafschafen drüben bei der Konkurrenz von Youtube die Wahrheit zeigt. Der populärste Kanal ist übrigens jener von Newsmax. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Nachrichtenwebsite, die als rechtskonservativ gilt und bisweilen auch Verschwörungserzählungen verbreitet. Gründer Christopher Ruddy, ein Ex-Journalist und Trump-Vertrauter, hat die Nachrichtenseite bewusst als Konkurrenz zu Fox News angelegt und auch Moderatorinnen und Moderatoren eingestellt, die bei Fox wegen zu extremer Ansichten hinauskomplimentiert wurden. Der Livestream fällt erwartungsgemäß aus, und das Narrativ des senilen Joe Biden wird hier nahezu in Dauerschleife bespielt. T-Shirt mit Hassbotschaft Darunter finden sich mehrere Tage alte Aufnahmen von Trumps Wahlkampftour (die als “Live” verkauft werden) sowie ein Streamer, der eine Rede von Kamala Harris zitiert und Demokraten als “Woketards” beschimpft. Praktischerweise hat er das Kofferwort aus “Woke” und “Retards” auf T-Shirts drucken lassen, die er zwischen den Tiraden verkauft. Wie CNBC berichtet, ist ein wahrer Run auf die Aktie von Rumble ausgebrochen. Das liegt aber nicht daran, dass die Plattform wirtschaftlich rasend erfolgreich wäre. Laut dem Analyseunternehmen Similarweb ist Rumble in den USA nur auf Platz 22 der meistbesuchten Unterhaltungsseiten. Das plötzliche Interesse an dem Youtube-Klon wurde durch das Wahlkampfteam von Donald Trump verursacht. Oder um genau zu sein: dessen Running Mate J. D. Vance.

A lawsuit claims that corporate advertisers avoided X as part of a vast left-wing conspiracy. In recent weeks, in his prolific activity on X, the social network he owns, Elon Musk has shared a deepfake of Kamala Harris, calling it “amazing.” He’s shared inflammatory posts about England’s anti-immigrant riots while opining that “civil war is inevitable.” He’s fended off calls from five Democratic secretaries of state to reform Grok, X’s AI bot, after it shared false electoral information. All of this follows years of stalling engagement on the platform and a broader decline under his ownership, as advertisers fled a site newly-receptive to racist pseudoscience, antisemitism, and restoring noxious figures’ accounts. Their departure may have been hastened by Musk advising advertisers, twice, to “go fuck yourself,” during an on-stage New York Times interview. Or it may be because Musk used his privileged position, as a study released Thursday said, to become one of the site’s mostly widely-seen purveyors of election disinformation, racking up 1.2 billion views on the subject between January and July. (…) According to Brian Hauss, a senior staff attorney with the ACLU’s Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project, Musk “is clearly outraged at the precipitous drop in advertising dollars since he’s taken over… Instead of owning up to the fact that its the change in the content moderation policies that he’s instituted and take responsibility for that, he’s trying to point the finger.” The attention-grabbing antitrust lawsuit accuses the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and the Global Alliance for Responsible Media, a WFA project, of engaging in an illegal group boycott against X. The suit specifically names several WFA alliance members, including CVS Health, Mars, Orsted, and Unilever. While the WFA declined a request to comment, according to its website, GARM was founded after the Christchurch mass shooting, when the killer live streamed the attack on Facebook. “This followed a slew of high-profile cases where brands’ advertisements appeared next to illegal or harmful content,” which, the site explains, spurred the initiative’s launch. “For advertisers who have invested heavily in these platforms, the danger of seeing their brands next to harmful content has become a major issue,” a GARM FAQ, which has been pulled down in the last two days, read. “No one wants to be inadvertently funding people intent on causing damage to society.”

An Yle probe has uncovered the prominent role played by a Finnish man on a Telegram channel fuelling the anti-immigrant riots in the UK. A young Finnish man with a background in neo-Nazi activities has played a prominent online role in the organisation of anti-immigrant riots in towns and cities across the UK over the past two weeks, an Yle investigation has found. (…) The riots are usually arranged via social media, especially the instant messaging service Telegram, with one of the most prominent such groups co-administered by the Finnish man at the centre of Yle’s investigation. Yle discovered the man’s identity and tracked him down to an apartment building in the south of the country. He is in his twenties and has run a neo-Nazi channel on Telegram. Yle is not publishing the man’s name because he has not been convicted of a serious crime nor, based on the information available at the time of publication, is he currently suspected of any. Finnish neo-Nazi shared arson tips The estimated 14,000 members of the ‘Southport Wake Up’ group on Telegram planned tactics and outlined ‘targets’ — such as immigration-related charities, advice centres and solicitors — before the channel was closed down. The Finnish neo-Nazi was a co-administrator of the group as well as a regular contributor. One of his posts shared instructions on how to commit arson, which originated from a Russian-Ukrainian neo-Nazi group, according to the British anti-fascist research group Red Flare. “Something fun for you to read,” the Finnish man wrote when he shared the arson instruction file. He also gave the group members advice on protecting their identities as well as participating in discussions about the selection of so-called targets (…) Yle’s investigation also revealed that the Finnish man has for years run a Telegram channel used to spread Nazi ideology. On this channel, he claimed that he does not encourage people to commit violence or terrorism, but at the same time, he urges the destruction of “the accursed Jews”. He also calls himself a National Socialist and he has previously published posts praising Adolf Hitler. In one video, he speaks as he is walking around Helsinki synagogue. (…) His Telegram channel has more than 300 followers from a range of different countries. He is also active on platforms such as Gab and Odysee, as well as having at least five accounts on X, formerly Twitter. In addition to Nazi-related material, he has also published Hamas propaganda videos.

The user was also active in PA leader Mark Collett’s main Telegram chat prior to its deletion. Posts by the user have been shared by key figures in PA including Yorkshire regional organiser Sam Melia, former national fitness officer Kristofer Kearney and longtime member Darren Harrison (aka “Saint Harrison”).

Trump campaign says its internal messages hacked by Iran

Donald Trump’s campaign has said some of its internal communications have been hacked and suggested it was targeted by Iranian operatives. US news website Politico reported on Saturday that it had been emailed campaign documents including internal research carried out on Trump’s running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance. “These documents were obtained illegally from foreign sources hostile to the United States, intended to interfere with the 2024 election,” a campaign spokesman told the BBC. Politico said it had confirmed the authenticity of the documents. The BBC has not independently verified the claims. The campaign did not give any further details or any evidence linking the document leak to Iranian hackers or the Iranian government. Its statement came one day after Microsoft released a report indicating that Iranian hackers targeted the campaign of an unnamed US presidential candidate in June. Microsoft’s Threat Analysis Center (MTAC) said that the campaign was sent a spear phishing email – a message designed to look trustworthy in order to get the target to click on a malicious link.
