Nazi apologist Vincent Reynouard has received another prison sentence in France, again throwing light on the organised politics behind Holocaust denial. French nazi Vincent Reynouard has been given another prison sentence in Paris, almost three years after he was arrested in a joint operation by Scottish, English, and French police in a village near St Andrews. Together with the convicted sex offender Germar Rudolf, a German neo-nazi who now lives in the USA, Reynouard is one of the world’s most prolific Holocaust deniers. His latest conviction and activities in recent months illustrate why Holocaust denial isn’t just another crazy online conspiracy theory. It’s a well-financed and carefully planned effort to rehabilitate Hitlerite ideology and other forms of hatred targeting Jews. And its authors collaborate with those who aim to stir up race war. Earlier this year Reynouard was given a 12-month jail sentence, but this week’s additional 8-month sentence is for separate offences that Reynouard committed after the Scottish courts extradited him to France in 2024. Even while in a Scottish jail, Reynouard continued networking with fellow militants and had interviews published online as well as in nazi journals including Heritage and Destiny in England and Rivarol in France. Though each of these have scholarly pretensions, they are deeply rooted in far-right politics. Mark Cotterill – founder of Heritage & Destiny Heritage and Destiny was founded in 1999 as the magazine of the BNP’s American fundraising arm. Its editor Mark Cotterill has been in a series of far-right parties ranging from the openly nazi British Movement and White Nationalist Party, to supposedly conservative far right networks.
