NÄCHSTER POLIZEI-SKANDAL IN SACHSEN? BRUTALES AUFNAHMERITUAL MIT BRENNENDEN HELMEN – #polizeiproblem

Treffen die Vorwürfe zu, dann hat Sachsen den nächsten Polizei-Skandal. Das Präsidium der Bereitschaftspolizei hat die komplette Beweissicherungs- und Festnahmeeinheit (BFE) Dresden aus dem Dienst genommen, weil es dort zu gewalttätigen Aufnahmeritualen gekommen sein soll. Gegen acht Polizisten der BFE seien “Ermittlungen wegen des Verdachts der Körperverletzung im Amt und Nötigung zum Nachteil von Polizisten der eigenen Einheit” eingeleitet worden, informierte Polizeipräsident Peter Langer (Bereitschaftspolizei) am späten Nachmittag. Zu den konkreten Vorwürfen will sich die Behörde nicht äußern. Aus Kreisen der Dresdner Bereitschaftspolizei war jedoch zu erfahren, dass es um brutale Aufnahmerituale gegangen sei. So soll in Anlehnung an das “Vizeschlagen” bei der NVA den Novizen ein mit Feuerzeugbenzin in Brand gesetzter Stahlhelm aufgesetzt worden sein. Anschließend sollen Altgediente mit Spaten die Flammen ausgeschlagen haben. In mindestens einem Fall soll ein junger Beamter danach dienstunfähig gewesen sein. Auf Anfrage von TAG24 wollte eine Behördensprecherin das brutale Ritual weder bestätigen noch dementieren.

Man arrested on suspicion of bias-motivated assault of Grand Junction journalist: “This is Trump’s America now”

A man chased down and choked a journalist working for Grand Junction broadcasters KKCO and KJCT in front of the news stations’ offices after berating them about their nationality, police say. Patrick Egan, 39, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree assault and bias-motivated crimes, both felonies, as well as harassment, a misdemeanor. Egan began following the victim earlier in the day near Delta and confronted them at a stoplight, according to Egan’s arrest affidavit. The victim told police, according to the affidavit, that Egan rolled down his window and said, “Are you even a U.S. citizen? This is Trump’s America now! I’m a Marine, and I took an oath to protect this country from people like you!” The victim called the director of the news station, who told them to drive to the office, located about a mile away. When they arrived, Egan got out of his vehicle and continued to badger them, demanding to see their ID.

A human rights activist explains how discrimination and bigotry shape life in one of Russia’s most vulnerable communities In October 2024, a taxi driver named Elena Manzhosova was found murdered outside Chelyabinsk in the city of Korkino. When locals learned of the crime, they marched to the suspected killer’s home, began breaking windows, and set fire to several nearby houses. The riot quickly escalated into an indiscriminate attack on the murder suspect’s entire community: the Roma population living on Korkino’s outskirts. In the aftermath of Manzhosova’s tragic killing, city residents have demanded the illegal deportation of Roma community members, and state officials have partly obliged these bigotries by intensifying police raids on Roma settlements in the Chelyabinsk region and beyond. To learn about the origins of negative stereotypes against Russia’s Romanis, why members of this community often live in isolation, and why Russians often view them as illegal immigrants, Cherta Media recently spoke to Stefania Kulayeva, an expert at Memorial’s Anti-Discrimination Center, who has spent more than 30 years advocating for the rights of the Roma population in Russia. Meduza summarizes Kulayeva’s comments. “At first, we gathered information about violations of Roma rights directly from the affected individuals,” Kulayeva told Cherta Media, explaining how she once worked on a research project that brought her to more than 100 clustered Roma settlements. “I’d just walk up to people and say, ‘Hello, tell me what’s wrong here,’” she recalled. Through these interactions, Kulayeva learned firsthand accounts of failing education programs, police abuse, murder, and torture.  Later, she got involved in legal assistance to Roma communities, litigating to prevent the demolition of homes, helping people register their properties, and sometimes even arranging defense attorneys for Roma members falsely accused of crimes.

Eine Explosion erschüttert die nordrussische Region Murmansk. Ein Video des Feuerballs zirkuliert in den sozialen Netzwerken. Der Vorfall ereignet sich in einer Gegend, in der sich Stützpunkte des russischen Militärs befinden. Eine starke Explosion hat sich einem Medienbericht zufolge am späten Mittwochnachmittag nahe mehrerer Militäranlagen in der nordrussischen Region Murmansk ereignet. Wie das norwegische Portal The Barents Observer meldet, zeigt ein in den sozialen Medien geteiltes Video einer Überwachungskamera eine Explosion am Himmel. Die Redaktion konnte den Clip geolokalisieren. Demnach befindet sich der Marineflughafen Seweromorsk-1 etwa 13 Kilometer vom Ort der Aufnahme entfernt. Seweromorsk-1 ist der zweitgrößte Militärflugplatz auf der Kola-Halbinsel und beherbergt verschiedene Modelle von Seeaufklärern, Kampfjets, Bomber sowie U-Boot-Jagdhubschrauber vom Typ Ka-27. Laut Recherchen des Portals befindet sich elf Kilometer vom Ort der Videoaufnahme zudem ein Waffenlager der russischen Nordflotte sowie im Umkreis mehrere mobile Flugabwehranlagen und Antennenanlagen für die elektronische Kriegsführung.

A video recording was posted Wednesday evening on social media in Murmansk of what appears to be a massive explosion in the horizon. The Barents Observer has geolocated the filming position from Skalnaya street No. 9, which is on the top of the hill in Oktyabrskiy District. The explosion, which lasts only a few seconds, can be seen in a distance of several kilometers to the north. Here are dozens of military objects, including the Severomorsk-1 naval airbase and weapons’ storages and bunkers.  Severomorsk-1 is 13 km from the location of the video-recording. The airbase is the second largest on the Kola Peninsula and accommodates both fighter jets, bombers and maritime surveillance aircraft. A squadron of Ka-27 helicopters is also located at the airfield.  At a distance of 11 km from the video recording is a outdoor weapons storage. This is some 2 km southwest from the end of the runway. To the northwest of Severomorsk-1 is several installations with mobile anti-aircraft missiles and antennas for electronic warfare.

Ungarn gewährt polnischem PiS-Abgeordneten politisches Asyl

Polen betont, dass es rechtlich “beispiellos” ist, dass ein anderes europäisches Land einem mit europäischem Haftbefehl gesuchten Flüchtling Asyl gewährt. Die ungarische Regierung hat am Donnerstag dem ehemaligen polnischen Justizminister und jetzigen PiS-Gesetzgeber Marcin Romanowski politisches Asyl gewährt. In Polen wird er wegen mutmaßlicher Korruption in seiner Zeit als Minister in der vorherigen PiS-Regierung strafrechtlich verfolgt. Die polnischen Behörden suchen seit letzter Woche nach Romanowski, nachdem ein polnisches Gericht einem Antrag auf Untersuchungshaft zugestimmt hatte. Nach einer ergebnislosen Suche erließ die Staatsanwaltschaft einen Europäischen Haftbefehl gegen Romanowski, da es Hinweise darauf gab, dass er sich im Ausland aufhielt. Stunden bevor Romanowskis Anwalt bekannt gab, dass der Gesetzgeber in Ungarn Asyl erhalten hat, warnte der polnische Premierminister Donald Tusk vor “merkwürdigen Entscheidungen” Budapests. “Sollte Budapest irgendwelche merkwürdigen Entscheidungen treffen, die mit dem europäischen Recht unvereinbar sind, wie die Gewährung von politischem Asyl oder die Missachtung des Europäischen Haftbefehls, wäre Viktor Orbán derjenige, der sich in einer prekären Lage befindet, nicht ich”, sagte Tusk. Der polnische Außenminister Radosław Sikorski erklärte in einem Beitrag auf X, er betrachte die Entscheidung Budapests als einen “feindlichen Akt”. Der ungarische Regierungschef Viktor Orbán wich Fragen über den Schritt weitgehend aus, als er am Donnerstag einen Gipfel des Europäischen Rates verließ, und sagte Journalisten, es gebe einen laufenden “rechtlichen Prozess”. Romanowski war von 2019 bis 2023 stellvertretender Justizminister unter der früheren nationalistischen, konservativen Partei Recht und Gerechtigkeit (PiS).

Deleted TikTok account tied to Wisconsin school shooter featured ‘Nazi images,’ ADF says – #terror

A TikTok account believed to belong to Natalie Rupnow, the deceased 15-year-old identified as the person who shot and killed two members of the Abundant Life Christian School in Wisconsin, was deleted after the shooting, according to TMZ. The Anti-Defamation League said it believes the account, which had the handle @targetedbloodsport, belonged to Rupnow, who also used the first name “Samantha.” Posted to the account were “a range of very generic white supremacist and antisemitic memes,” according to the organization. Those memes reportedly included “Nazi images” and “racist statistics.” Written in the account’s biography was “totally normal day,” which is a phrase often used by racist or White supremacist users to communicate “TND,” or “total n***er death,” the Anti-Defamation League said. TikTok did not return a request for comment by The National News Desk. ABC News reported Tuesday it believed Rupnow also had an X account through which she shared footage of a 2015 stabbing at a school in Sweden and a video of a person killing themselves at a shooting range. Another post reportedly featured a person making an “OK” hand gesture in a bathroom stall.

A self-described “friend” of Küçükyetim shared a live link of the attack, and chat participants (including, we believe, the Madison shooter) commented on the “success” of the stabbing spree. COE researchers have also reviewed a TikTok account (which we believe belonged to the shooter) that posted a range of very generic white supremacist and antisemitic memes (including Nazi images and racist “statistics”) with a bio including the phrase “Totally normal day” –wording often used by racist or white supremacist users as a code for “TND,” or “total n* death.” According to reports, a post from an “X” account (again, believed to belong to the shooter) from the day of the attack includes a photo of a person giving the “okay” hand gesture, which is used in some extremist circles as a way to troll viewers.

Holocaust denier with weapons stash sentenced in Scotland after planning attack on LGBT community – #terror

Alan Edward was handed a 15-year extended sentence, with 10 years in jail and five years on license once released. A high court in Glasgow, Scotland sentenced Alan Edward, 55, for terrorism and firearms-related offenses on Thursday after it was discovered that he promoted a banned neo-Nazi group, incited racial hatred, and police uncovered a weapons stash, Scotland’s Counter Terrorism Unit confirmed on Friday.  Edward was handed a 15-year extended sentence, with 10 years in jail and five years on license (parol) once released.  Officers noted that, in addition to promoting the banned neo-Nazi group, Edward incited Jew-hatred and Holocaust denial. It was while attending Edward’s address in Falkirk in September 2022 to discuss his online activities that police discovered a large number of weapons. The weapons included a crossbow, 14 knives including some featuring Nazi insignia, a machete, a sword, a knuckleduster, a stun gun, and arrowheads, Jewish News reported citing prosecutors. Sky News reported he also had in his possession an air pistol, an SS-style skull mask, goggles, a respirator, fighting gloves with hardened knuckles, pellets, and ball bearings. Discussing an attack on the local LGBT community Over WhatsApp, Edwards had reportedly discussed carrying out an attack on a local LGBT group, Sky News reported.
