Woman jailed for shouting Nazi slogan and saluting outside library – #LockHerUp

A woman who shouted a Nazi slogan and made a fascist salute has been jailed for two weeks. Rochelle Green told a court her behaviour outside Glasgow Mitchell Library on 3 October last year was for “entertainment value”. The 32-year-old went on to strike an elderly stranger on the head as he passed by and made a gun gesture towards him. Green, now of Preston, Lancashire, was convicted of threatening and abusive behaviour as well as assault following a trial last month at Glasgow Sheriff Court. She was initially fined £500 by Sheriff Vincent Lunny. However, that was converted to a two-week custodial sentence after Green was unable to pay the sum. (…) In her evidence, Green told the court she was dancing outside the library while listening to music on her headphones. Her lawyer, Manjit Ram, asked if she had shouted the slogan, to which she replied: “It was purely for entertainment value – it seems silly but it is true.” When asked if she made a gun motion with her fingers, Green replied: “I do not know why I would do such a thing.”

“More than 20 people started hitting me”: neo-Nazis attack immigrant at A1 service station

The attacks were captured by video surveillance cameras at the Aveiras service station. In an exclusive interview with SIC, the immigrant claims to have been a victim of racism. At least 20 members of a neo-Nazi group are being sought by Portuguese authorities on suspicion of having beaten an immigrant living in the district of Santarém. The attack occurred on Sunday, at 7pm, and without any apparent reason. The members of this group they will have insulted and beaten the victim until he lost consciousness. Racchhpa is 29 years old and has lived in Portugal for six years. Had to receive hospital treatment in Santarém where, this Thursday, it was still being observed. Der Bundestag hat die Immunität der beiden AfD-Abgeordneten Stephan Brandner und Matthias Moosdorf aufgehoben. Die Abgeordneten von Union, SPD, Grünen und Linken stimmten am Donnerstagabend dafür, die AfD enthielt sich – damit sind strafrechtliche Ermittlungen gegen die beiden Parlamentarier möglich. Nach Angaben eines AfD-Fraktionssprechers geht es in Brandners Fall um die mutmaßliche Beleidigung einer Journalistin und bei Moosdorf um einen mutmaßlichen Hitlergruß. Der stellvertretende AfD-Chef Brandner befindet sich bereits seit mehr als einem Jahr mit einer “Spiegel”-Journalistin im Rechtsstreit. Diese soll er als “Faschistin” bezeichnet haben. Die Staatsanwaltschaft in seiner Heimatstadt Gera ermittelt gegen Brandner wegen Beleidigung.

Die AfD Sachen-Anhalt hat einen Antrag (PDF) in den Landtag eingebracht, der Lehrkräfte dazu verpflichten soll, “politische Neutralität im Unterricht” zu wahren. Ihnen sollte außerdem verboten werden, wertend über “politischen Parteien, Gruppen oder Strömungen” zu sprechen. Der Landtag soll am Freitag über den Antrag debattieren. Was das Papier bedeutet, erläuterte AfD-Vizeparteichef Hans-Thomas Tillschneider im “Spiegel”. Er stellte klar, dass sich der Antrag generell gegen queere Menschen richte: “Die penetrante Vielfaltspropaganda” an Schulen betreibe “die Zerstörung der heterosexuellen Normalität”, beklagte der Rechtsextremist. Diese Normalität sei aber “für den Fortbestand und das Gedeihen unserer Gesellschaft unerlässlich”. Außerdem richte sich Antirassismus laut Tillschneider gegen “die patriotische Opposition” – also seine Partei. Der Antrag sieht auch vor, Schulnamen mit “weltanschaulicher Tendenz” zu verbieten. Als Beispiel nannte Tillschneider die Sekundarschule “Quer-Bunt” in Querfurt. Diesen Namen bezeichnete der Rechtsextremist als nicht neutral.
