Berichte: CIA geht nicht von ukrainischem Angriff auf Putins Residenz aus

Der US-Geheimdienst CIA geht Berichten zufolge nicht davon aus, dass die Ukraine gezielt die Residenz des russischen Präsidenten Putin angegriffen hat. Präsident Trump sei über die Erkenntnisse informiert worden. Das melden mehrere US-Medien, darunter das „Wall Street Journal“ und derSender CNN, unter Berufung auf Regierungsvertreter. Der amerikanische Auslandsgeheimdienst widerspricht damit Vorwürfen aus Moskau. Laut CIA-Bericht hat der ukrainische Drohnenangriff einem militärischen Ziel gegolten, das zwar in der selben Region wie Putins Residenz liegt, nicht aber in direkter Nähe. US-Präsident Trump sei von CIA-Chef Ratcliffe am Mittwoch über den Bericht informiert worden. Am gleichen Tag teilte Trump einen russlandkritischen Artikel der Boulevardzeitung „New York Post“ auf seiner Plattform Truth Social. In dem Kommentar wird Russlands Staatschef Putin als Hürde auf dem Weg zu einem Frieden bezeichnet.

Der US-Auslandsgeheimdienst CIA kommt Medienberichten zufolge zu dem Ergebnis, dass die Ukraine weder den russischen Präsidenten Wladimir Putin ins Visier genommen noch eine seiner Residenzen angegriffen hat. Das berichteten das Wall Street Journal sowie die Sender PBS und CNN unter Berufung auf namentlich nicht genannte Vertreter der US-Regierung.Damit widerspricht die CIA Vorwürfen aus Moskau vom Montag. Auch US-Präsident Donald Trump hatte nach einem Gespräch mit Putin die Ukraine wegen des angeblichen Angriffs kritisiert.Laut den Medienberichten belegt eine Analyse des CIA nun, dass es einen Drohnenangriff auf ein militärisches Ziel in derselben Region wie Putins Residenz gegeben habe, allerdings nicht in der Nähe des Anwesens. Trump sei von CIA-Chef John Ratcliffe entsprechend unterrichtet worden.

Wendler-Villa wird jetzt als Ferienhaus vermietet

Michael Wendler und Laura Müller wollen umziehen. Ihre bisherige Villa in Cape Coral mit Pool und Bootsanleger steht nun als Ferienhaus zur Vermietung. Der umstrittene und seit Oktober offiziell vorbestrafte Schlagersänger Michael Wendler und seine Frau Laura Müller vermieten ihre Villa in Cape Coral im US-Bundesstaat Florida. Das 280 Quadratmeter große Anwesen kann als Feriendomizil gebucht werden. Das Paar hatte zuvor versucht, die Immobilie für 1,8 Millionen US-Dollar (etwa 1,5 Millionen Euro) zu verkaufen – offenbar ohne Erfolg. Jetzt wird das Haus auf der Seite “Seaside Vacation Rentals” unter dem Namen “Seaside Villa White Palace” als luxuriöses Ferienhaus angeboten. (…) Den Grund für den Schritt, ihr Zuhause zu vermieten, machte Laura Müller auf Instagram öffentlich: “Ich hau’s jetzt einfach raus: Wir ziehen um.” Genauere Details sind nicht bekannt. Michael Wendler und seine Frau haben vor einigen Jahren Deutschland verlassen und leben seither in Florida. Der 53-Jährige hatte sich mit Verschwörungsmythen zur Corona-Pandemie und NS-Verharmlosungen ins öffentliche Abseits katapultiert. (…) Seit dem 7. Oktober 2025 gilt Wendler offiziell als vorbestraft. Nach einem Urteil des Landgerichts Duisburg vom 19. März 2025 wegen Beihilfe zur Vereitelung einer Zwangsvollstreckung war der Sänger vor das Oberlandesgericht Düsseldorf gezogen. Die nächste Instanz verwarf seinen Antrag auf Revision als unbegründet. Weitere Rechtsmittel sind nicht möglich.

Lufthansa and the role of big business in the Holocaust

German airline Lufthansa is one of many big-name brands that collaborated with the Nazis during the Holocaust. As the airline celebrates its 100th anniversary, why does its Nazi past continue to fly under the radar? Lufthansa Airlines, the flag carrier of Germany, takes great pride in its aviation heritage spanning almost a century. Images from the 1920s and 1930s — including Junkers Ju 52 aircraft used by the Luftwaffe — feature prominently in Lufthansa’s marketing, alluding to the “pioneering spirit” of the brand and its place in aviation history. But the story of Lufthansa’s role in the Third Reich war machine, one that includes the large-scale use of forced labor, remains largely under the radar. In fact, Lufthansa is just one of many companies that collaborated with the Nazi regime, big-name brands and business dynasties that continue to “hide in plain sight,” according to journalist David de Jong. (…) Deutsche Luft Hansa — from 1933 styled as Lufthansa — was founded in 1926 when only a small elite could afford to fly. By the early 1930s, it was struggling to survive. The Nazis “saved Lufthansa,” according to German historian Lutz Budrass, an expert in German aviation history. In 1933, Hermann Goering appointed Lufthansa director Erhard Milch to state secretary of what would become the Reich Aviation Ministry. Under the Treaty of Versailles, which ended World War I, it was forbidden for Germany to have an air force. But with only minor restrictions on civil aviation, Budrass said that Lufthansa became a front for National Socialist rearmament. After 1941, Lufthansa had a prominent role in aircraft repair workshops behind the front lines and, unlike other companies, was able to directly procure forced laborers, including many children who were kidnapped from Nazi occupied territories across Europe. When World War II ended, the Allies declared the airline part of the German air force and liquidated the company in 1951. Deutsche Lufthansa, today the world’s fourth largest airline by revenue, was founded as the Aktiengesellschaft für Luftverkehrsbedarf (shortened to Luftag) in 1953, acquiring the rights to the Lufthansa name and the famous crane logo in 1954. But it wasn’t just the same name and logo: Many of the same men returned to its management board, including Kurt Weigelt, who led the economic department of the NSDAP Office of Colonial Policy. After the war, he was placed on a list of wanted war criminals and was eventually sentenced to two years in prison and a fine. But by 1953, he was the chairman of Lufthansa’s supervisory board and in retirement, became its only ever honorary board member. At the end of the 1990s, Lufthansa hired Budrass to research its use of forced labor during the Nazi period. The study was completed in 2001 but Lufthansa did not publish it until 2016, and then only as a supplement at the back of a glossy illustrated history of the company. In response, Budrass published his own 700-page book — against Lufthansa’s wishes: 2016’s “The Eagle and the Crane: The History of Lufthansa 1926-1955” (“Adler und Kranich: Die Lufthansa und ihre Geschichte 1926-1955”). In a statement to DW, Lufthansa asserted that it is not the legal successor of the company founded in 1926, writing that “the legal foundation of today’s Lufthansa was laid in 1953.” Lufthansa acknowledged that the National Socialist era is part of its history and said it would be “using its 100th anniversary as an opportunity to critically reexamine its responsibility during the Nazi era and to further investigate it based on historical research.”

Antisemitic Graffiti Featuring Nazi Swastikas, Stars of David, and ‘Jew Rat’ Slur Found on Irish Road, Social Media Images Show

Antisemitic graffiti was scrawled on a rural roadway in County Louth, Ireland, in recent days, according to images and video shared on social media. The markings appeared on the R165 between Kingscourt and Ardee. They included Nazi swastikas, Stars of David, and the antisemitic slur “Jew Rat.” In a statement dated Dec. 31, Holocaust Awareness Ireland said the graffiti mirrored some of the most extreme antisemitic imagery used in Nazi Germany. “The depiction of Jews as rats or vermin was a keystone in the propaganda promoted by Josef Goebbels to dehumanise Jews,” the organization said. It explained that German society normalized this imagery before the Holocaust. When the Nazis launched the so-called “Final Solution” in 1942, they used the same term applied to exterminating vermin — vernichten — to describe the murder of Jews. The organization described graffiti as a “bellwether of national sentiment” and warned that public tolerance of antisemitic threats reflected broader societal failure to protect minority groups.

Queer and Trans People Were Under Attack in 2025. Here’s How We Fought Back

From ICE jails to public libraries to Instagram, queer and trans people battled fascism on every front this year. This year — 2025 — was bleak. There’s trans joy around, but to keep it from drying up we’re going to need to stay with the horror of our current moment. Not so long that it destroys us, but long enough to strategize against its creeping totality. The right-wing descent that took place during this long year was predicted by Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, the Stonewall riot veteran and mentor to us both who passed this year. Queer and trans people like Major who were alive during the 1980s remember the early days of the AIDS epidemic and the reign of Reagan as a similarly bleak time, in jarring contrast to the revolutionary 1960s and ’70s. Major kept pushing during that period, behind the wheel of San Francisco’s first needle exchange van, and with a group of trans people dubbed Angels of Care who treated people dying from the virus (at the time, many established doctors and nurses refused). Groups like Angels of Care and the direct action-focused AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP) provided where the state and traditional institutions would not. Following this lineage, queer and trans people in 2025 organized against the fascist takeover of the federal government. Indeed, despite the ascendant right wing, in 2025 queer and trans people in the U.S. organized on battlegrounds such as ICE jails, public libraries facing book bans, and on Instagram. Below are some of the grounds where we fought. A Struggle Over the Stonewall National Monument Miss Major was one of the people who fought the cops at the famous 1969 anti-police uprising outside the Stonewall Inn in New York City. The space was commemorated as the country’s first LGBT national monument under the Obama administration, but this year Donald Trump’s White House removed the words “queer” and “transgender” and later, references to bisexuals, from the monument’s signage and website, with the National Park Service instituting a new policy that only allows traditional rainbow flags. Rather than demanding that we simply return to the domestication that the initial monument offered, what if we demanded a commemoration as insurgent at the uprising itself? As Major noted, a commemorative plaque was nice, but free housing and free healthcare for trans people would be much more meaningful. Acting autonomously, people have replaced the flags on and off, regardless of the official policy.

Von wegen Missverständnis: So extrem waren Xavier Naidoos Äußerungen wirklich

Viele Fans des Sängers glauben, er sei in der Vergangenheit vielleicht missinterpretiert worden – dabei waren sein Judenhass, seine Reichsbürger-Fantasien und Verschwörungslügen unmissverständlich. Xavier Naidoos politische Meinung finde er gut, sagt ein Konzertbesucher. Was der Sänger während der Corona-Zeit von sich gegeben habe, stimme doch. Eine Frau lobt, Naidoo sei auch zuvor schon „wach“ gewesen. Er habe beispielsweise früh erkannt, welche Form die Erde in Wirklichkeit besitze. Und im Herzen sei er heute „auf jeden Fall“ noch ganz der Alte. Die Aussagen stammen aus einem Video, das aktuell auf Telegram kursiert. Der rechtsextreme Aktivist Matthäus Westfal feiert darin das Comebackkonzert Naidoos in Köln und lässt Besucher in der Warteschlange vor der Arena zu Wort kommen. Manche freuen sich, Naidoo sei „hart geblieben“, oder beklagen, den Deutschen sei die Meinungsfreiheit genommen worden. Hat sich Naidoo bloß missverständlich geäußert? Für welche Aussagen Naidoo genau in der Kritik stand, erfährt man nicht. Genau dies blieb auch in vielen seriösen Presseberichten unerwähnt, die sich mit dem Comeback des Sängers beschäftigten. Vage war etwa von „Antisemitismusvorwürfen“ die Rede. Als Leser bekam man leicht den Eindruck, es handle sich um einzelne, womöglich missverständlich formulierte Aussagen des Sängers. Dieser Eindruck ist grundfalsch. Die Aussagen, die Naidoo tätigte, waren so explizit, niederträchtig und zahlreich, dass niemand ernsthaft behaupten kann, es habe sich um ein Versehen gehandelt. Sie glauben kein Stück, dass Naidoo mit ihnen gebrochen hat. Experte Josef Holnburger über Xavier Naidoos extremistische Wegbegleiter Besonders drastisch fielen die hasserfüllten Thesen über Juden aus. Naidoo verbreitete ein Video mit der Aussage, der Holocaust sei eine „gelungene historische Fiktion“. Er verbreitete die antisemitische Hetzschrift „Die Protokolle der Weisen von Zion“ inklusive des Hinweises, das Buch sei eines der „wichtigsten Dokumente der Menschheitsgeschichte“.  Den Zentralrat der Juden beschimpfte Naidoo als „Zentralrat der Lügen“. Er behauptete, es gäbe keine Semiten im Zentralrat. Er schrieb: „Die sogenannten ,Juden’ sind die eigentlichen Antisemiten.“ Oder auch: „Wenn Ihr Juden seid, bin ich Koreaner.“ Naidoo behauptete, Jerusalem sei eine Fälschung, und beleidigte den Talmud. Ein anderes Mal verbreitete der Sänger eine Botschaft, in der von „Judengesindel“ die Rede ist. Er schrieb Sätze wie „Ich kann den sogenannten Juden nichts mehr glauben“ und „Ziemlich viele Juden in diesen Kinderschänder-Dreck verwickelt“. (…) In Interviews und Social-Media-Postings ließ Naidoo keine Zweifel daran, wo er politisch stand. Unter anderem verbreitete der Sänger die Behauptung, in der Bundesrepublik herrsche ein „krankes und faschistisches System“, ein anderes Mal sprach er über Pläne „zur Vernichtung der Deutschen und Deutschlands“. Die „Black Lives Matter“-Bewegung nannte Naidoo „absolut verachtungswürdig“. Dafür lobte Xavier Naidoo den mehrfach verurteilten Reichsbürger Rüdiger Hoffmann, bezeichnete ihn öffentlich als „wahren Helden“. Bei Hoffmann handelt es sich um einen ehemaligen NPD-Kader, der wegen versuchten Mordes mehrere Jahre im Gefängnis saß. Als der Antisemit Attila Hildmann nach monatelanger Hetze in die Türkei floh, um sich der Strafverfolgung zu entziehen, lobte Naidoo ihn als einen „Bruder im Geiste“. Er finde es „einfach klasse, was Attila bisher geleistet hat“. Er hoffe, Hildmann bald in seine Arme schließen zu können.

35 Ordnungsrufe für die AfD im Bundestag seit Neuwahl

Seit Beginn der Legislaturperiode am 12. Mai hat es bereits 42 Ordnungsrufe im Bundestag gegeben. Davon ergingen 35 Ordnungsrufe an die AfD und sieben an Abgeordnete der Linken, berichtet die „Bild“ (Mittwochausgabe) unter Berufung auf eine Datenbank des Bundestags. Die meisten Ordnungsrufe erhielten demnach die AfD-Abgeordneten Martin Reichardt (sieben) und Stephan Brandner (vier) sowie Linken-Politiker Luigi Pantisano (vier). Jeweils drei Ordnungsrufe ergingen an die AfD-Abgeordneten Kay Gottschalk und Steffen Janich, jeweils zwei an die AfD-Politiker Stefan Keuter, Markus Frohnmaier und Carolin Bachmann sowie an Mirze Edis (Linke). Abgeordnete von Union, SPD und Grünen wurden bislang nicht gerügt.
