Officers of the Main Juvenile Affairs Division of the Tbilisi Police Department have detained a previously convicted individual currently serving a probationary sentence on charges of group-perpetrated degrading and inhumane treatment of minors, as well as organizing such criminal actions. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the investigation established that in 2023, one of the leaders of a “Nazi-fascist” group, acting alongside like-minded accomplices, lured an acquaintance to an abandoned area in Tbilisi under false pretenses following earlier disagreements. There, the accomplices subjected the minor to collective physical violence using various blunt objects, as well as degrading and inhumane treatment. The investigation also revealed that in 2025, the accused organized group violence and degrading, inhumane treatment against another minor. (…) Some of the individuals involved in these crimes are already serving sentences in a penitentiary facility. Investigative actions continue to identify and prosecute other individuals associated with violent groups adhering to fascist ideology,” the statement reads.
