He also threatened to bite a guard’s face during the grim incident at Arrowe Park Hospital. Arron Wilson, 43, of Clifton Road, Birkenhead, walks from Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, April 21, 2021. A drunk thug subjected a paramedic to racist abuse after threatening to bite and stab a hospital guard’s face. Arron Wilson launched a tirade against staff at Arrowe Park Hospital last year after going on an overnight booze bender. The 43-year-old later kicked and spat at police as he was arrested, Liverpool Magistrates’ Court heard today. He later told officers he couldn’t remember the incident and he couldn’t possibly have punched the guard because he was a boxer and his aim was so good he wouldn’t have missed his face. Simon Leong, prosecuting, said Wilson, from Birkenhead, had drunk vodka throughout the night before calling for an ambulance shortly before midday on September 11 due to “feeling unstable”. After being taken to Arrowe Park and assessed he was asked to sit in the waiting room until he could be treated. However, Wilson became aggressive and soon began shouting and swearing. Darren Clarke, a guard at the hospital, came up to him to try to calm him down but Wilson’s behaviour continued to escalate. Mr Clarke then tried to remove him from the waiting area but Wilson hit him and shouted “f*** off or I will bite your fing face” and “f off, I will stab you all” before punching Mr Clarke in the arm.
