A former staffer for Georgia Rep. Mike Collins, a Republican, allegedly posted images on social media depicting a swastika and photos of himself in Ku Klux Klan-style robes, according to a report. The Washington Post on Thursday reported that 24-year-old Preston Parra interned in Collins’ congressional office in 2024 and later worked as a contractor for the congressman’s political action committee (PAC). His work with the PAC ended in 2025, which was before Collins launched his U.S. Senate campaign. The media outlet said the images were “found in a search by The Washington Post” and are among “other controversial actions and rhetoric” from Collins’ former staffers and associates. “A number of people in Collins’s orbit have been accused of having ties to white nationalists or of making racist or antisemitic comments, and the congressman’s own social media presence has also drawn scrutiny,” per the outlet. Parra’s posts appeared to have been deleted. The outlet reported that Parra shared an image on X in June appearing to show him in Ku Klux Klan robes and posted a swastika in July. Other posts included racial slurs, references to “white power” and Nazi-related language, the outlet noted.
