Once police got inside the home they found ammunition and materials used to make weapons. Police also found an improvised explosive device (IED) and had to close the streets in the surrounding area. “We didn’t know what was going on in the beginning, but after I read some of the reports it was very shocking,” said neighbor Rosie Basso. The suspect had been under federal investigation since 2021. Investigators said he posted multiple different threats against Jews online, threatening murder and other horrific acts of violence. He even posted pictures showing himself using a 3D printer to make guns. One neighbor said she had limited interactions with him but something didn’t seem right. “He never really interacted with anybody and he was always working on his RV or out here. It was bizarre, it wasn’t normal, a little bizarre,” said Basso. “Yeah, it did give off weird vibes I guess you could say.”
