A gay-owned floral design shop in San Francisco’s LGBTQ+ Castro district was targeted with horrific graffiti on Saturday that used Nazi rhetoric to call for gay people to be murdered. Jeff Dumlao and partner Roberto Cancel rushed back to their shop shortly after closing at 5 p.m. after receiving a text from a client alerting them to the graffiti. When they arrived, the police were already there, gathered around a large message on the outside wall that read, “Fa**ots = Gas Chambers.” The pair not only discovered the disturbing message but also learned the suspect had assaulted an upstairs neighbor – punching him in the face when he told him to stop spraying the walls – before fleeing in a white SUV, SFist reported. The assault victim did manage to take a photo of the SUV and license plate as the suspect drove away. Painted in large red, white, and blue letters on the rear windshield was an ode to the late anti-LGBTQ+ Christian nationalist, Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated in September at a public speaking event. “Onward Christian Soldiers. Charlie Kirk Rest in Power,” the windshield declared.
