A January 6th rioter and open anti-Semite is back on the streets of Monmouth County. Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, a former U.S. Army Reservist distinguished by his Hitler-inspired grooming choices, has ended his three-year stint in prison following his arrest in early 2021 for storming the U.S. Capitol. The unsettling image of Hale-Cusanelli wearing a Hitler mustache and sporting the evil dictator’s trademark long, side-swept hair came into the public eye after police identified him as one of the first people to storm the Capitol on January 6th. He was arrested just days after the event and was denied bail due to being deemed a public threat. According to the government’s evidence, Hale-Cusanelli joined a mob of rioters that breached a police line attempting to secure the Capitol grounds and shouted “Advance! Advance!” as the mob continued inside. He remained in the building for approximately 40 minutes. Days after the incident, Hale-Cusanelli told a friend that being in the Capitol was “exhilarating,” he was hoping for a “civil war,” and that the “tree of liberty must be refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
