Group’s researchers say hate campaigns including fliers, banners and graffiti jumped by 38%, occurred in 49 states. Incidents of white supremacists distributing propaganda in the US hit a record high last year, according to a Thursday report. The Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremism tallied 6,751 incidents of white supremacist propaganda in 2022. The figure marked a 38 percent increase over the previous year. The propaganda activity included the mass distribution of material targeting Jews, the LGBTQ community and other minority groups. White supremacists deployed fliers, stickers, banners, graffiti, posters, yard signs, moving vans draped with messages, and light projections onto buildings and stadiums, the ADL said. The use of hateful banners, often hung up over highway overpasses, jumped to 252 incidents last year, a 38% increase over 2021.
